Reviews
Having dealt with crowds and rain all week on my vacation, I decided to do my own cupcake wars for a day of entertainment. I picked Georgetown Cupcakes, Sprinkles, and Wired and Baked. I tasted each and give reviews accordingly.
First off, Bake and Wired is the largest venue and has a cool vibe that invites you to come in and relax.
Secondly, Baked and Wired has a lot of flavors! They all sounded so great and looked great.
Third, Baked and Wired has the biggest cupcakes which is something that should be noted.
When it comes to taste my favorite "cupcake" came from Sprinkles.
My favorite cupcake consistency came from Georgetown.
Here is my review of the Baked and Wired cupcake. They are big. They are hard to eat without a fork because of the size. And I felt there was more cake than frosting for it. The cake is more dense than the other two cupcake shops.
To be scientific I should have gotten similar flavors but I didn't.
So:
Sprinkles: best taste
Georgetown: best cupcake consistency
Wired: biggest

They have the best cupcakes in the entire DC area in my opinion. They use the freshest ingredients and they aren't overly sweet. The cupcakes are huge. One easily serves two people. I had extras which I froze individually in quart bags. Their cookies, breads etc also looked good but I've only tried their cupcakes.

I can't describe how good the cold brew and how amazing the cupcake were at Baked & Wired. The place is nice & cozy, with very good music, nice service and outstanding feel. No wifi though. That's a bummer. Not bummer enough to take away even half a star for this amazing place;)

Their cupcakes are moist and large in size. There could be more frosting on them for as much as you pay. They have creative flavors on the menu. Each flavor is a different kind of party in your mouth. The cupcakes are above average quality but not the best ever. I personally think they could add more solid flavors that are less whimsical. Overall, the cafe was a hipster vibe going for it. Staff is friendly. But, the coffee itself seems overpriced for the average quality.

I love this place so very much. It is my number one recommendation for dessert in D.C.
I have tried so many things and my favorites would have to be their cream cheese brownies, massive, creamy and decadent and their hippie crack granola.
They also have great cupcakes and smores bars.
They are pretty centrally located in Georgetown. The line can get long sometimes but it's still worth it.
They also have a coffee store, kinda built in, with lots of good coffee including Stumptown
