Sunrise Cafe

After having a bad experience 2 years ago, I decided to try them again definitely after seeing the good reviews however this was a huge mistake! The Latina lady that usually works the cash register on Sundays, had such a bad attitude. She made me wait to place my order for 5 minutes before she came and asked me what I wanted to order all because she got mad because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order when I first entered the restaurant. When I was ready to order, I called her to let her know that I am ready, she looked at me and continued to pretend like she was busy and made me wait another 3 minutes. When I received my food, it tasted so nasty as if it was either old or cooked too long on purpose. I hate to be the one that says “they probably spit in your food or dropped it on the floor” but I promise you something was done to my food because it didn’t taste normal and I had a small piece of hair in my homefries. Definitely not pushing this under the rug, in fact I still have my receipt and will be giving the OWNER a call today!

Do u like breakfast all-day everyday? Well this is your place then. Sunrise cafe seriously brings sunshine in your day. Their bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches are to die for; BLT is superb❤️❤️nom nom nom and I love love love their dolmados ❤️❤️❤️

Cozy deli/cafe nothing fancy but expansive made-to-order menu. Very reasonably priced unlike most DC spots. Locals go here for quick bite or convenient takeout orders. Very limited seating and gets cramped when there's a rush. Great morning coffee/breakfast joint!
