Saxbys Georgetown

Very fine coffee, and friendly staff. Often a rather long line -- crowded with the young university crowd. Can seem a bit claustropbic, but definitely better drinks than Starbucks.

I came here looking for a warm place to sit for a moment and enjoy a coffee on a cold Sunday morning. I was warm and there was coffee but the only place to sit that I could find was in the bathroom! The place was totally full of Georgetown students who were fully entrenched at every table. I finally found a pseudo seat in an awkward location after about 15 minutes and not one of the students moved in the remaining 45 minutes I spent there. As for the coffee, if you decide to get anything other than black, I recommend asking them for half the sweetener as they go way overboard. But, if drinking pure sugar is your thing, this might work for you. After all this, I can't say I'd go back to this location because of the crowd and I'm hesitant to go any other location because of the overly sweetened drinks.

Friendy staff, good coffee, reasonably priced but lacks seating which being in Georgetown can be expected.

Fabulous vibes, coffee & baristas. 10/10 do recommend. 💁🏻‍♀️☕️

Nice coffee.. But overpriced .. I am not a big fan of Aluminum chairs in a coffee shop too! Otherwise it’s a nice place but again I would prefer Starbucks as a place to talk, study.
