Bar Primi was a random find that turned out to be an amazing experience. Everything from their service to their appetizers to their drinks to their desserts to their entrees were an absolute pleasure to eat. They came in big portions to feel stuffed, and in variations/sauces/ingredients that you typically won't find at your local Italian spot. They have a sleek interior, but a sizeable outdoor patio too so if you can get there before it gets cold, I would recommend it. All in all, Bar Primi was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the area/looking for something new and refreshing.
Great brunch spot. Menu is a bit expensive but food tastes great. Meatball appetizer, pancakes and pasta entrees, sides of bacon were all delicious. Chocolate gelato dessert was also great! Service was organized / fast.Dine in: Yes
Went for dinner with other 5 friends on a Friday night. Place was very noisy and it was hard to speak even to the person next to me without raising my voice at the end of the night I felt like I was shouting for 2 hours. Terrible acoustic. For starters we got the Brussel sprouts loved it so we got two portions of it, kale salad obsessed with it l, beets salad so good and ricotta crostino was nice. Nothing special. For main I got the chicken Marsala which I found to be tasty but too expansive for what it was. I think they should have added mashed potatoes or rice or little bit of pasta to it shame to lose that amazing sauce . My friend who got the branzino thought it was the tiniest one he has ever had , yet, however he did say it tasted good. Desserts were ok. Nothing owed us or felt any special. After we paid , we stayed at our table for couple more minutes, while I understand that they needed the table for the next party I thought that the manager was poorly handling it when he approached us he was angry. What?! Why?!. Besides him, the waiters and served our table were VERY nice and friendly with a great attitude .
Everything about this place was just amazing. Celebrated an anniversary here and felt like the staff cared so much about the moment and experience. Super helpful on pairing wine with the meal and the food was beyond what I expected. It just so perfect! Servers were amazing
This Italian restaurant has a very fun, lively, young and sophisticated vibe. It can get very loud and it’s hard to hear even someone sitting across the table from you. The menu had a delicious selection of veggies, pasta, and entrees but they were all served slightly cold - seemed like the kitchen was busy and it took a while to get the food to our table. The tiramisu is one of the best in the city.
I found this restaurant via the Michelin guide it is Bib Gourmand so my expectations were high based on that. However, it didn’t meet my expectations. I felt it was good overall - food wasn’t bad, service was good, decor was cute/the perfect vibe for a dinner out with the girls also close to NY Comedy Club, where we went afterwards. They have a nice covered/heated outdoor patio, which I also liked. Overall, we had a nice time here and I would go back, but felt that it wasn’t particularly memorable.
Good place if you’re in the neighborhood. The place has a chill vibe. The ricotta toast with hazelnuts and honey is very good. The San Danielle prosciutto w/ mozzarella was good but a bit dry. The squid ink campanelle with crab was a 6/10; to me, the pasta lacked flavor - and hard to find the crab which was the only ingredient. Maybe we didn’t order their best pasta. Would go again and give it another try.
This place never disappoints. I love the squid ink pasta and the the arugula salad. Both are spectacular. Fun place and great vibes all around.
Really nice, casual atmosphere. Staff is very polite and professional. I tasted a burrata and then amatriciana with lamb and really enjoyed it. You can eat indoor and outdoor. Fair selection of Italian wines. Recommended.
When we first entered the restaurant, they showed us to a mediocre table even though the whole restaurant was empty and there was an upper floor. We wanted to be seated upstairs and the person had a weird attitude about seating us there without a clear explanation, that was not a good start. For food; we had 3 different dishes and 1 was amazing, the other two weren't that good. Unconventional and not a good version of a burrata is in the menu, we didnt like it. The waiter provided a great service, though. We wanted to take out a tiramisu since we were in a hurry and they were helpful to pack it quickly and give us plasticware. The atmosphere is cozy and not loud, but the music was very randomly playing, they even played some american rap which I do not expect to hear in an italian restaurant even though i m not expecting specifically italian music...
