Basil Pizza & Wine Bar

Disappointing experience. We were a table for two. Food for each of us came about 15-20 minutes apart because they served my meal to another table which had arrived 20 minutes after us. Then their food ended up being served with an extended period in between. When my food was given to the other table, they threw out the ticket for my table and then later couldn't figure out where my meal was supposed to go, so we had to interject and explain to the wait staff what had happened. I looked around and noticed that of the 5 different groups I could see in the restaurant (there were 2 groups behind me) every table had food come out without any kind of coordination. We were served by 4 different servers and there were a total of 6 wait staff at one point - for a restaurant with 8 tables and a bar. None of the servers seemed to have sections. There seemed to be little communication or coordination between servers. The food was actually pretty good, if a little pricey. I think Basil has lots of potential if it only sorts out the organization, communication and coordination between staff. Despite the disorder, it should be noted that everyone was very friendly.

Excellent dairy kosher restaurant with fish. Delicious pizza. Wine and beer available. Some peak times may require a wait for a table. No reservations. Very reasonable price for an excellent breakfast with plenty of seating and good service. My wife had the eggs benedict and lox. I had a similar meal with smoked trout. We both had coffee. Bill with tip and tax was less than $50.

Food is great - when ur able to like it that is.. I've been here few times already, & had very different experiences.. service is good, but u gotta have a wide variety of styles that u like in order to be able to enjoy most things here..

What a disaster place this turns out to be. The waiters are awful the food came out wrong and cold. This place it seems is completely letting go of their standards. They used to be great and now they are just terrible

They've revamped their menu so I can't give a detailed opinion on it yet but they do make great truffle fries and pasta dishes. On the pricey side. They removed the previous hostess and service is great again! #MAGA ;) **Helpful? - hit the LIKE button! :)
