Ordered an item online. Said item was delivered. Went to assembled, found out there were missing pieces and no instructions. Referred to my order email how to return the item: was given a choice to return to the store. Drove to the nearest store. When I got there, I was told they don’t accept returns on the item I’m returning. Apparently Store 344 and the store manager Patti S doesn’t accept two things at this store location. The ride on toys and fine jewelry. This manager needs to be retrained with her bedside manners. Telling her customer, it’s easy to do return via mail -as she do it all the time - is not the kind of response a customer wants to her. Her personal life is her perspective.. she doesn’t get to offer that to the customer -/ we don’t care what she does all the time. Again. Your company needs to be cleared what can and cannot be returned to the store . Carrying a big bulky item that is heavy and only to be told they they don’t do returns at store 344 in land o lakes Florida because they don’t it have in their inventory is simply unacceptable especially since returning to the shore is one of the options given in the return process. Again Patti S — needs to be retrained so she can keep her personal experiences to herself and she doesn’t need to match a customers issue with her attitude. As a manager she needs to know as well the list of things that cannot be returned at the store she manages for future returns like this .. because she simply doesn’t know .. all she can tell me are two things. A ride on electric toys and fine jewelry.
Received a gift card as part of Black Friday in the store in Mercer County WV in November 2021. It was worth 500 dollars. We always receive good merchandise and I was able to use 250 dollars of the 500 for Christmas. I inquired if the card would expire after so many months and was told No. On Memorial Day weekend I still had a balance of 250 dollars. July 4th my gift card was not valid. No one from customer service has returned my call
My sons brought me a $200 gift card for Belks for Christmas 2022 and I went shopping, handed my card to the associate who scratched off the pin number with scissors, then we could not recognize the pin number therefore I could not use my card and had to leave the store without my merchandise. Called customer service and I have been getting the runaround since January 2, 2023. I expected better of this from Belks. I have not received my replacement card. I have the original receipt for my gift card. My sons money will not be wasted. I will continue to call and leave reviews until my card is replaced.
I've been a customer with Belk for quite sometime,but the customer service is horrible. I originally attempted to place an order online and redeemed my coupon, but was offered another 10% off if purchased in store. I called customer service and he tried to overcharge me,but when I advised him that the amount wasn't correct. He allowed me to stay online until it was time to close at 6pm. So,I called back the next day so that my purchase can be honored by a supervisor and I was advised that there was no supervisor available, but can continue to hold for 45 minutes and still no supervisor. So I hung up issue still unresolved.
I have been a customer since moving to SC 25 years ago and may never shop with Belk again after a same day delivery incident that occurred 12/5/2022. Because I couldn’t get anywhere with management at Belk Sandhill, SC I tried to reach various extensions at the Corporate offices but either get a message that “no one is taking calls” or it just rings until I disconnect. I placed a same day delivery order 12/5/2022 and assumed Belk delivered the merchandise. I did not get the order so I called the 800 Customer Service on 12/6/2022 which did no good as the representative could only see that my items shipped not being delivered. She suggested I call back later that evening. At 3:15 I received a text indicating my order would be delivered by 3:41. Shortly after, I got a call from a delivery driver saying he was at Belk and the girl couldn’t find my order and she asked what name and email I used saying she couldn’t find anything in the computer and said she’d get a manager to help. Less than 10 minutes later, I get another text saying order cancelled so I call the manager, a Ms Debra and she said he just left with the package. I went out and several hours later, no package so I call Ms Debra again and she was condescending and rude saying she couldn’t help me as I picked the delivery service and I kept telling her that when ordering it doesn’t let the customer know someone other than Belk will deliver. I spend hours calling the delivery service, the Sandhill store another manager said she’d investigate and call back and never did, and Belk 800. The delivery service couldn’t refund as I paid Belk and their records showed the store canceled the order. Finally, after 6 hours worth of phone calls I got a Belk supervisor who placed a 3 way call to the Sandhill store and Ms Debra took the call. She demonstrated the same obnoxious behavior and talked over me and the supervisor. She was adamant she gave a male driver my order and when I asked what proof existed, a scan or cameras, she said it was on camera the other manager told me there was no camera where these orders are picked up. The supervisor apologized for the situation and the manager’s nasty and inappropriate behavior. She credited my account tho yesterday the tip for the driver posted to my account. If I could again reach management at the store, I want clarification as the checks and balances on such orders, did the driver drive off with my order, did Ms Debra make a mistake about giving him the order and was too stubborn to admit it, did my order disappear from the store or just maybe, it never got processed at the store level 3 of the 7 items I ordered did show as unavailable at the Sandhill store. Beware of same day delivery as you have no acknowledgment of who will deliver it and the 800 Customer Service can’t help as the computer system doesn’t follow the order and shows the order as shipped. Belk ate the cost of the merchandise I never received but should an individual have been held responsible, I am not sure but still extremely upset.
I ordered some curtains online via the Belk app. According to the packing slip they were in the package that I received. They were not. After several attempts to make contact, I was told that since it was an outside vendor I needed to contact them. I was given a phone number that only allowed me to leave a voice mail. I received no call back from this vendor. I called Belk customer service again. I was told that on the website it clearly stated that Belk does not take in store returns for these items. It does not say anything about not being able to assist in order mishaps. In my opinion they shouldn't market outside vendors if they want no responsibility for orders. After 45 minutes on the phone, I was told that a case was being created to investigate by a "back office". Apparently this office takes no calls or so I was told. I will never order anything from Belk again. If you do, be careful that you're not ordering from an outside vendor.
If there were an option for zero stars that’s what I would rate Belk and the experience I had today. On Dec 22nd, I purchased a shirt for a gift. The shirt was too small. Since my friend was going out of town for Christmas, I told him I would exchange it and bring it back to him. I had included a git receipt with his gift. So I went today, got the exact same shirt but in a different size. Got to the checkout and was told that since I had used reward dollars on part of my purchase that day that I would have to pay an additional $22 and change for the $29 shirt. I asked what would happen if I let my friend, who I bought the shirt for, bring it back to exchange it with his gift receipt. I was told he would have to pay the $22 to exchange! He would be told that since the person that bought it used their rewards, he would have to pay it to exchange! How would you feel if you had received a gift that didn’t fit, had a gift receipt, and were told you would have to pay for your gift? What good is it to ask for a gift receipt? What good is it to used reward dollars? I purchased three other items in addition to the shirt that day! The manager that came to help the person at the register was loud and rude. I was loud and rude back! I admit it! I’m not ashamed either! The idea that an EVEN EXCHANGE could not be done is ridiculous! This was at the Belk in Coastal Grand Mall in SC. Store 244. The managers name was Rachelle Daynel. The date Dec 26th. Not even a week since buying the shirt! My husband was with me and he couldn’t believe it. I have spent a lot of money over the last 20 years on in Belk but no more! I’m leaving this review here but you can bet money that I will tell anyone and everyone about the business practices and about this transaction. I want someone from corporate to contact me.
I have been trying to get my money back for a ring since July 2022 for a ring that could not be repaired a 2nd time, due to a 2nd diamond that came out of the ring. . Belk sent an egift card to the incorrect email. Now they will Not contact me to send it to my correct email. Sheila Whitehead Case #8950007. My next step will be a lawyer. The local Store in Dothan Al. where I have always shopped, said that online purchases could not be returned to their store. I will Never order anything else from Belk. I'm an elite card holder so I guess Customer Service could care less!
1st time they sent me the wrong tree. I couldn't get intouch with customer service though email but once I sat on hold I was able to schedule a return/exchange for the tree I ordered. 2nd time I received the correct tree a month later and it was defective... the lights weren't working on a section of the tree. Wanted for customer service to email me back and they didn't. I had to call again wait on hold for an hour and a half just to be told that I had to ship the defectice tree first before they would ship a new one. 2 months of trying to recieve the correct tree that works and now my family will be without a tree this year.
I was given a set of skilllets from my mom for Christmas. Iwas with her when she purchased the skillets and the were $59. When I opened the package the skillets were warped and damaged. I took them back and asked for an exchange, but didn’t have the receipt. They would not exchange them but offered to give the lowest price the skillets had sold for back on a gift card. The lowest price was $17. Of course, the skillets were no longer $17. So, I just left them with the store because they were no good to me. I also didn’t take the $17 on the gift card since I will no longer be shopping at Belks. I would not have returned them if they had not been damaged. The damage was clearly visible but that didn’t matter…
