I came here with a small group of friends for dinner. The food portions were really large and tasted pretty decent. The chicken parm and spaghetti was amazing, though the meatballs were average. Service was a bit slow, but overall a nice place for Italian food, and they have little bread buns to start you with.
This joint in particular is an MIT favorite. I was first introduced to Bertucci's when every-other-event at MIT ordered huge pizzas and they came with sacks of the most incredible bread rolls ever. The food is great. I recommend getting their Caesar salad: it's crispy and has huge shavings of parmesan cheese. Their pizza is amazing, with a nice crispy crust and yet with a foldable elasticity, like NY style pizzas. Sometimes the service is a bit lacking, like not getting drink refills or another serving of salad when we order the "bottomless salad", but these can be excused by the delicious brick-oven cooked food.
Don't go there for service. Pizza was great. The large pizza is quite large. Can feed three easily. Beer taps not working. Only had cans of beer and a very small selection.
After closing of jersey city bertucci, I was really looking forward to it. It took 45 mins to reach here from Residence Inn but it was complete disappointment. Food took forever to come and when it came, it was cold and soggy. Waiter was least interested as he was serving almost all the table by himself. When I complained abt mozzarella frita, he said I didnt make it. When I asked him to let the chef know, he said he speaks spanish and I speak english. I feel the whole restaurant was busy serving take away order as no one was interested what is going on inside. Restaurant is highly under staff with no quality chef. Complete waste of money. The only thing I have always admire here is the fresh bread roll. Again, I didnt get the fresh one even on request. Over fried frita, messy eggplant parmesan and watery four cheese rivoli.
Great pizza, busy place with extremely sketchy service. Make sure to grab attention of servers, otherwise you’ll be waiting for menu 20-30 minutes. I’d give it a one star but the pizza was so good, I’ll give them a pass.
Many years ago, Bertucci’s was the casual family place to have decent Italian food and a glass of wine while the kids got their pizza fix. Today, the pizza is still good. Our kid ate most of it and smiled the whole time. The place is under staffed for dining in though. Our plates took so long that I had to ask to have them for take out instead. The raviolis and chicken wings were both barely okay. I don’t blame the staff, they were all nice people doing their best. They didn’t stop moving around trying to meet the demand. I’m honestly unsure about who to blame. The administration perhaps? I’ll order pizza for take out, but sadly, no more dining in for me here.
Just avoid the location called ahead to see what time they where going to stop sitting guest was told 9.30, got there at 9 and had to argue with the waitress about being seated, They where out of tap beer and cocktails , and had only a limited variety of bottle and wine , and service wasn’t the fastest Can kinda see why the chain is struggling as a whole
Cheryl Carlos and the rest of the staff are so friendly here. I love ordering food here because it always comes out so great. Mr Beast is my jam and I would never order it anywhere else! Love this place
Definitely not authentic Italian food. Food was ok. Drinks did tastes good and strong, however, the glass was small and packed with ice more then it was a drink.Food: 3/5
Bertucco's is a decent Italian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge. The food is good and will definitely fill you up. Make sure to come on their 2 for 1 nights to get a lot of pasta/pizza at a good rate.
