We arrived very late at 4:30 in the morning from traffic in New York City greeted at night shown where to park in a safe area that was actually less expensive than suggested. Room was clean staff were very friendly continental breakfast had a very good selection for the price. We were granted a late check out housekeeping girl is very sweet waiting for us I know they're busy and need to flip their rooms. Close to market Street which is where the Liberty Bell is and was an added bonus for us to be located so close
Not the best hotel. Breakfast: Unprofessional breakfast service. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We realized that the hot food at breakfast would quickly run out. This happened 3 mornings in a row during our entire stay. It would take around 30-40 minutes for the food to replenish. And the staff was the same. If this only happened for one day, it would be understandable, but for 3 days in a row with the same staff, that’s just unacceptable. On another note, there was milk past the date. When I complained to the manager about it, he didn’t take my concern well, but he did subsequently apologize the next day for his unprofessionalism. The food taste was okay, however. Room: The room isn’t kept up well. The carpet is horrendous, and overall the room just seems dingy. Location: The location is not that far from downtown, but if you are driving to there by car it is a pain to unload your luggage there because you have to double park on the busy street. It feels really dangerous because we had to leave our car on the busy street, and nobody was there to assist us. Parking: There is no convenient parking for the hotel. The hotel’s recommended parking lot, which was independently operated, was around 5 minutes away by foot around 2-3 blocks from the hotel, and on the way there were bums on the street, and even though the parking lot was open 24 hours, it did not feel very secure. Much of the equipment there was not functioning properly. For example, the credit card reader broke, and we had to pay the worker directly and have him manually open the gate for us.
Bad Attitude from management... You are treated as a number and a dollar sign and that is all. I made the horrible mistake of booking a room for a relative who was in town to visit, but gave me the wrong check in date. Within one hour of booking the reservation, I cancelled. Since it was a same day reservation, I was outside of their cancel policy. I was told by their office manager, "Ain't nobody trying to give no money back." She refused to let me speak to anyone else and of course, no refund. I asked her how long was the room out of their inventory to rent to someone else 1 hour and apparently, is was available to me when I requested it. My incorrect booking of the room caused the hotel no loss, however it cost me $165.10. This big hotel chain would rather screw a human being for what they consider to be chump change, than to have a heart and do the right thing. Something so small to them makes a big impact on weather or not I can buy groceries or put gas in my car.
The room was dirty. Stains on rugs. Hair left in shower. Dirty socks from previous guests and garbage under the bed. Crumbs on desk. One of the dortiest rooms I have been in. Did not want to walk barefoot any where in this room. First time i took a shower with my shoes on at a hotel. Terrible parking. Staff nice but def not worth the money spent.
If you want an interesting night, stay on in the Best Western Plus! They have a lovely window view of a strange hallway that could possibly lead out to death or possibly a organ transplant room?! Who knows!?! The carpets are beautifully decorated with dark stains and spills. Make sure you have shoes on at all times or your feet will be wet with dispare! Their ice machine is located in the basement along where the vampires may sleep. The TV only lets you watch 3 seconds at a time before glitching out into the poltergeist. Is this a joke? Oh I wish it was! Hopefully to be alive to tell the story!
Room was ragged and they wouldn't service it, even after I left the tag on after the manager promising me they're service it the day before. Service at the desk was horrific. They seem clueless and not with any hospitality experience. I watched them fumble through other guests and then give bad advice to another pair, who's reservation wasn't in the system right. My own room was then similarly screwed up, and they failed to connect my two reservations, making come all the way back to the hotel to get my stuff and move to a "handicapped room with a tub". I asked multiple times to leave me in the crummy room with a wall next to the window. Nope, they insisted, so I stopped my work, came back, moved all my stuff and the room was the same, no tub. Breakfast was disgusting, the hard boiled eggs looked old and nasty, the scrambled eggs were dry and unseasoned. Update: our party of five rooms have now all gone 5 days with rooms not serviced. Each day we are promised by the front desk, we put the tags outside the door and nothing happens. The rooms are now thoroughly disgusting and after paying over $5000 in rooms for all of us, we are treated like dirt. Today they even took the tag off my door and put it inside and still didn't clean it! As a regular traveler, I can honestly say it's the consistently worst service I've ever had. Our rooms should be comped at this point. Stay as far away as you can.
No parking! No pool! Less than friendly staff! Trash all out in front of the hotel. Was asked if I wanted to join rewards club, when I told her I was already a member, but found my room $70 cheaper through another cite, she had nothing. Lol. This is the 3rd Best Western we've stayed in going cross country. I won't be going out of my way to look for one for the test of our trip.
This place had the worst check-in of a hotel I have ever seen One person checking people in. If you could call it that. Rooms weren't cleaned and ready at 6:00 p.m. people just sitting the lobby waiting for their rooms. Staff that didn't seem to care or know their jobs. And nothing special about the rooms. Not a bad place I guess for the price.
Great clean hotel near the convention center. Lovely staff...rooms are small but it's city so it's all good. Awesome beds, amazing nightstaff...kinda tricky outside but if you can help a fellow human outside..please do.Rooms: 4/5
More like worse western. The hotel room was nasty. Stains on the window, black spots on the carpet, and someone must of enjoyed a Chex mix and a chocolate bar. Housekeeping did not clean the room.Rooms: 1/5
