Since 2006, we’ve been your place for classic confections with a modern twist!

Story

We are a neighborhood bakeshop located in the heart of Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, operated by renowned cake designers Cheryl Kleinman of Cheryl Kleinman Cakes and Ellen Baumwoll of Bijoux Doux Specialty Cakes. Ellen and Cheryl met while working at the famed Patisserie Lanciani in Manhattan’s West Village and, after operating their own award-winning custom cake businesses for several years, they combined their talents and opened Betty Bakery in 2006.

Enjoy a cup of our insanely good Hot Chocolate when you’re cold, or our own Strawberry Lemonade to cool down in the summertime. Try our decadent version of the Ring Ding or Twinkie and the most addictive Red Velvet Cupcakes on the planet. Have a latté and a slice of Valrhona Chocolate Cake with its swoopy icing or a plateful of the best Rugelach in the city. Sit by the window with a cup of Organic Numi Tea and a Currant Scone and bliss out with the sounds of Sinatra, Ella, and Dean. Take home a seasonal Fruit Pie and a box of our Cookie Assortment (you’ll discover a new favorite each time!). There’s always something new, especially for every holiday.
