A beautifully decorated restaurant serving fine food. I ordered the Bergdorf deviled eggs. They are served on a bed of bitter greens light dressed in lemon juice. The eggs arrived a bit cold from the refrigerator. I would have preferred warm. The bacon topping was hard as a nut. They use a thick piece of bacon when they should have used crumbled. They also used horseradish in the creamed yolk which i thought strange. Bitter greens wuth horseradish. Odd combo.
The fish was fine. Served burning hot. The accompanying vegetables were fine. Served with a mild mustard sauce. Overall a pleasant experience.

Amazing views. Bought a relatively inexpensive bottle of champagne and hung out in the bar. Staff was friendly. I'd definitely go there again.

I made a reservation one day before and came all the way to this restaurant in the snow storm. However, when I arrived, the restaurant just said they are going to close.
I didn’t get any phone call or text notification. I mean, if you decide to close the restaurant early, that is totally fine, but you need to make sure all your guests actually got the message at least one hour ahead. Please do not notify your guests until they arrive your front door(especially they tried so hard to survive in the storm), and give them a “I am sorry, there is nothing I can do” look. Please, show some of your empathy.

Went for afternoon tea (can we stop calling it high tea? That is different). The atmosphere was great - I had requested a whisper chair and a Central Park view. But as to the tea, for the price you are left too hungry (and I have had afternoon tea all over so I am used to the portions). Our server Adam was great though. But, definitely points taken off for jarred jam, no description of the food, and portions.

Went for afternoon tea, left disappointed.
It's sad to say that the food in this place clearly comes 3rd after the decor and 'being seen'. The sandwiches were lacking, both in quality and quantity (I know it's afternoon tea and it's supposed to be dainty, but that's no excuse to take the piss). The sandwiches included a ham salad with too much mustard, a bog standard egg salad and a laughable open cucumber sandwich. The only sandwich of merit was the chicken sandwich, but this is because of the grated truffle. You can make any savoury dish taste good with truffle.
The cakes were so forgettable that I'm struggling to think of anything to write about them other than some were yellow, some were pink and one was brown. All were small.
The biggest travesty was the scones. We only got 2 cranberry scones and no plain so you're out of luck if you don't like dried fruit. These two scones were overcooked on the outside and too cakey in the middle. This left them very crumbly and impossible to cut. Mine shattered into tiny nuggets of dough after I tried to cut it. This left me having to put cream and jam on to little bits of scone before they collapsed into sand.
The "Devonshire cream" was odd. It appeared to have split leaving a cream cheese textured substance in some liquid.
The jam came in 3 flavours. Red, orange and honey.
The tea was nice but then how hard is it to pour hot water over leaves (which only happened once. No offer of refills).
The service was indifferent and the 3 stars is generous.
