Blue Dog Cafe

This place is awesome! Stopped by on a Saturday night, and there was live music. The atmosphere was great; art with blue dog overlays was really eclectic, but made a great scene. They have a huge floor for the eating area, and the tables are reasonably spread out... not smashed together to jam tables in; great to have room to talk and breath during your meal! Service was great; they took a mixed drink back to the bar and remade it after we didn’t like the flavor... a drink!! The prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality that you get. I highly recommend the Half-and-half and the Louisiana Purchase. If you happen to be in Lake Charles or driving through, stop by Blue Dog!

Its sad to say yhis place Had good food. The food and the menu have been completely changed and Definitely not for the Good! Want ever being going back. The owner needs to understand what got him their will keep him their! Go up on your prices people will pay for good food we do it every day. Just my opinion, I wish him well.

The place is very .it has the potential to be fun. I met a friend for lunch. The place was pretty empty since it was around 1:30 (maybe it was something else). The service was horrible The host told me where my table was located. When my friend arrived, she didn't bother to walk us to our table. Again she pointed to where it was. The waitress wasn't much better. It took way too long to even be acknowledged. I would have understood if they had been busy. The food was ok .

Always a must when we are in town... but honestly disappointed and will most likely not return... we waited over an hour with visibly empty tables. Told they were being held for those with reservations... but when you call they don't take reservations. Bus staff extremely slow at their jobs. Had to ask for silverware more then once. Food was not as good as it didn't appear to be freshly made. Not worth the price!! Manager was full of excuses.

Food was good. Went there for a wedding rehearsal party. The party was Catered, so they kept the food stocked and everything seemed to run smoothly. Plus the staff was helpful and nice. I would recommend this place for catering anytime.
