BodyBrite Omaha Laser Hair Removal

AVOID! DO NOT GET LASER/IPL AT BODYBRITE! I won an auction for several services/treatments at BodyBrite and one was for IPL. I previously had a vampire facial by a medical doctor at a medical facility so I understood the intensity involved. Bodybrite’s policy is to conduct a pre-test to determine how your skin reacts to the laser. I have some age/sun spots on the back of my hand so Kaitlyn (the nurse) decided that would be a good testing spot. Kaitlyn said she was going to apply the laser a little longer to the age/sun spots. Then she moved the laser down my hand and applied the laser to another age spot. The next day I left to go on vacation. After my vacation, I returned to BodyBrite to show them that deep wounds had formed in those 2 areas. Although Dawn Rubek owner/manager was very accommodating, the damage was done. I now have two permanent scars: a noticeable 1-inch scar on the back of my hand and a smaller round scar. My point in writing this is to warn others to AVOID BODY BRITE and any other establishment where nurses are performing laser treatments/procedures. They might be “trained” or “qualified” or have a “certificate” but it is insufficient based on the results I received. What if this had happened to my face? In my opinion, only a medical doctor should perform these treatments. So, please seek a higher standard of care.

This place uses an IPL Machine NOT an actual laser which is a downgrade to the Candela lasers as IPL is more for acne, skin rejuvenation etc. IPL WILL NOT help w laser hair removal of dark coarse hair. After 3 treatments I should see some kind of hair reduction and I have seen ZERO results. Do your research before making any type of appt for this as I wish I would have. The variety of lasers all offer different benefits as this facility should do their research before misinforming clients. Luckily all that is lost is my matched $99 Groupon rate that Dawn refused to refund- only tried to get me to buy more packages. Dawn was very unprofessional and even hung up on me after I tried discussing w her the different type of lasers so w that said I would not even recommend this place for any type of service also based off of the quality of customer service. Lady named Shara there though- one of the techs was awesome and I hope she moves on to better opportunities!!

Have had an amazing experience so far! I can't wait for my next session! I'm only one consultation and one appointment in and have seen amazing results already! In would would be stubble in one day, is now 3+ days until there is actually stubble.. After getting my bikini/Brazilian, and my under arms I am getting my legs done as soon as possible!

Super unprofessional dealings with a college of mine which I referred. First the company called her (the day of her appointment) to say that she had never confirmed her appointment (which she had) and to try and move the time. After she told them that she couldn't move her time and she could only come at the time she made her appointment. Then they put her on hold. While on hold they could be heard saying, "Should I just tell her the truth?" and discussing the appointment. Any company that has to decide if they're going to "tell the truth" to their clients is NOT a company I trust to point a lazer at my body. It was completely unprofessional. Spend the extra and go to Bare Body Shop and get the PROFESSIONAL service you deserve. I regret sending her business there - It ended up being a poor refection on me too. DON'T GO.

I made an appointment several weeks ago for laser hair removal. I received a reminder via text two days before my appointment to which I confirmed. I received a phone call two hours before my appointment saying I never confirmed (lie #1) and asked if I could come in a half hour earlier than my appointment. I called back and said that I would not be able to come in until my initial time. The woman said that wasn't going to work because it was going to push 5 other people back (lie #2). I told her I didn't understand what was going on. She told me to hold on when she proceeded to have a conversation with an employee and I overheard her saying, "should I just tell her the truth?" and "are you okay if I'm honest with her". When she got back on the phone questioned her about her conversation. She told me she didn't know how to tell me that the person scheduled to complete my laser hair removal knew me and was uncomfortable performing the service. Had she told me this in the first place I would have been happy to reschedule. When I asked to speak with a manager she informed me she was the OWNER. I asked if she made it a habit of lying to her clients to which she replied, "ugh, whatever" and hung up on me. So, needless to say I will not be going to Body Brite for any services. I will make sure that my story is known to all who will listen.
