Budget Truck Rental

We had a truck on reservation for over two weeks at this location with an 8am pickup time. On the day of the scheduled pickup I got a call at 7am ( 1 hour before I was supposed to be there)saying that “corporate” had canceled my reservation. I had not received any kind of notification that my reservation had been cancelled, when I asked why I hadn’t been told about the problem the jerk (Robert) running the location said it wasn’t his responsibility and that corporate should have called me. The best he could do was wait for 2 hours and see what happened from there. Needless to say it created a huge problem for me and family as we were moving out of state that day. I called Penske and they had me in a truck in less than 15 minutes. Avoid this location, look at the previous reviews as well, I truly wish I had. Worst customer experience I’ve had in quite a while.

I rented a truck to move a couch in-town and rented the truck at the end of the day around 4pm, returning it a few hours later with a full tank before the agreed time. They had an overnight key drop and I confirmed I could just return the truck to the lot and keys in the drop since they would be closed at the agreed return time. Nothing else was mentioned by the clerk. Instead of being charged what I was supposed to be charged, I was charged for two days, because they said they counted the return at the time it was processed the next morning and basically there was nothing they could do; it was my word against theirs. I asked them to check the delivery time on their camera and they said they don't have one. I contested the portion of the charge that was inaccurately applied with my credit card company. I then received a voicemail from one of their employees, apologizing and asking me to come down to get a check for what I was overcharged. I declined as I had already been issued a partial refund by my card company and they are 25 minutes away. THEN this company still went back to refute the refund with my card company, claiming the truck was returned at some time they arbitrarily made up. Long story short, they tried to charge me twice what they should have, poor business practices. There is a reason they have one star. Avoid the headache.

Horrible service, not pleasant. Had an issue with a trailer that did not fit my vehicle even though Budget website and location said it would. When it didn't fit, the location said they could not help and to call the Customer Service line, over 30 days later and no response still...Use Penske, a few dollars more, but great service and better condition on their trucks

Service is SLOOOOOOW!!..only 1 computer & they take their time doing everything!
