I honestly can’t believe this hotel is allowed to still be in business. I’m here with 3 other ladies and 2 out of the 4 rooms have to pull/push so hard to get their door open/closed. The outlets in the room are pretty bad. I was nervous to use one of them as I was afraid it might start a fire or shock me! The coffee pot is broken. The water is yellow I know not their fault and smells, the water pressure in my bathtub is awful! There is barely a trickle out of the cold, so the water was scorching hot if I wanted any pressure!! The carpet had ground up pieces of a roach so needless to say I wore shoes everywhere I walked. The bed was decent, but definitely not super comfy. The only thing going for them is the nice TV, the AC works wonderfully, and the lobby is very nice!
The breakfast is great! The downstairs lobby/lounge area is amazing! Really love the great fire place. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were pretty good but there is a slight problem with a lot of the doors as you enter the rooms. The doors are slightly to large or angled slightly off center and getting them to fully close takes a little extra force causing an unintentional slamming noise. Throughout the night you could hear these slams, and in the morning when we went to breakfast I did the same thing with our door and understood why I kept hearing the slamming sounds.
The room was nice and clean. My son loved it. We had a very comfy bed too. The lobby was gorgeous and even though we didn't get to experience the bar we were excited to see one. The people seemed preoccupied but friendly.
The staff was very friendly, and the lobby was nice, open, and welcoming. The rooms were also nice although maybe a little old. My mattress was a little too firm for my taste. Breakfast was a full meal and served early if you need to get on the road. Overall, fairly charming.
Stayed to escape Hurricane Irma. Very nice lobby and the full hot breakfast was yummy. Great location in town. I think the afternoon meet and greets are a nice touch. Kids definitely enjoyed the popcorn. Rooms were okay. The staff was courteous and efficient and always present. Some hallways were half painted and the cealing in the bathroom above the shower needed to be resealed. The gym is on the first floor underneath the lobby floor with the trash that was spread out. Would I visit again? Yes.
We stayed in one room that was fantastic. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Then on our return trip we came to the same hotel because the first stay was so great. The room we got the second time was in disrepair, the bed was in bad shape, the tub faucet leaked and the windows had giant unidentifiable smudges on them. It was not a good stay the second time. This is why I gave 3 out of 5. One room was fantastic, the other not so much.
My stay wasn't bad. The location of Cabot Lodge is good, not far from stores and restaurants. The lobby area is very nice. The rooms aren't bad, they could use some updating. The beds were comfortable. For the price you pay, I think every room should come with a microwave and refrigerator. They do have rooms that comes with them, but you have to specifically ask for it. I didn't think to ask, because all the hotels I have stayed in before they was in the room, I didn't have to request them. A microwave is accessible for you in the lobby, but that's inconvenient to me. What I didn't like the most was when I made my reservations, I was told that I could use my AAA discount, but when I arrived they wouldn't do the discount.
Hotel room was decent aside from the a/c not working and fridge in room wasn't turned on and was rusty on the inside. Contacted the front desk and they got someone to fix the a/c, took a while but it got fixed after replacing the unit 2 times. Happy hour is nice as well. Bathrooms are tiny in the room but it's an old building so it's forgivable
This was a nice hotel for the price. Friendly staff and Andrew at the front desk went above and beyond in making the stay nice when we checked in. Several baseball and volleyball teams staying in the hotel, without us asking move us to a new room away from the action. Nice breakfast and the nightly social time with beverages and popcorn was great addition. Only down fall was the detail to cleaning and minor maintenance concerns. Rooms needed a deep cleaning with dusting around the trim and there was exposed wirers from the AC unit and emergency exit signs. Would stay in this hotel again if I return to the area.
I have always enjoyed my stay at Cabot Lodge. The appearance makes you feel like you’re in an actual cabin. The staff/security is always nice and professional. The rooms are neat, the bed is comfortable; however, the bathrooms are indeed small but don’t let that stop anything! The breakfast is quite delicious! I’ve been staying here during business trips since 2015, and it the breakfast has always been consistent! The appearance and taste of the food is simply amazing. Their breakfast tastes better than going to a fast food restaurant, or yet, a Shoney’s.
