Cacique Restaurant

Super yummy. Great sangria, fantastic food with large plates. Fun atmosphere and a great downtown spot. Love the shrimp brochette and of course the enchiladas.

Friendly staff. The quality of the food however was seriously lacking. I had the porter house steak which was served with a bland salad covered in raw mushrooms. The steak was also bland and under cooked. My wife's Fajita tasted like raw shrimp. Overall the food was horrible. The salsa dip tasted watered down. But like I mentioned great staff. They just need better cooks.

The food was delicious and the staff was all very friendly. Once we were seated the food and drinks all came promptly and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and fun despite how busy the restaurant was.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We arrived for our dinner reservation with no one attending to the hostess station and had to track down the owner to ask about being seated. The front of the restaurant was packed with people who had been waiting for tables (some for over an hour and a half). We were promised our table for ten would be ready in 10 minutes and an hour and 15 minutes later, after repeatedly reminding the owner that we were waiting to be seated for our 5:30 reservation, they seated 3 other large parties ahead of us who had 6:00 reservations. We never got to eat because we had tickets to a 7:00 show. I even called the day of the reservation, multiple times, to confirm that they would have our table ready for us with a reservation. They didn’t care that they had completely disrespected us and were very dismissive when we told them we were unhappy about how we were treated and couldn’t wait any longer. We never got to try the food, but I have a hard time believing it would have been worth the wait. The sad part is that we were warned by multiple people that this would happen and we still gave them the benefit of the doubt that a reservation meant something. You’ll be disappointed before you even get to a table if you try to eat here!!!

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Frederick. The food here has always been good. Not quite a fan of the margaritas. Cut out the sweet and sour mixes and use fresh squeezed juice instead.
