Yes, the classes are spent doing math problems and the hardest portions of technical and code. But it got me very familiar with the course books and tabs that you must use to find the BEST answers. The HVAC test is not all about how many years of experience you have, it is about what you can find in the books. Also, if you do not work Cam Techs take home workbook be prepared to fail. I found about 15-20 questions on each exam were exactly the same as the workbook. The math was much easier on the actual test than the Cam Tech problems which had prepared me for worst case. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to invest their own time to do it right the 1st time! I am very pleased after passing both exams the first try with Cam Tech. I will use them again to study for my builder's license.

$2000 for books and tuition for a two weekend seminar. Total waste of money and time. The classes only go over business and finance math problems. I don’t know how many times people asked wait a minute, why is it like that though? Because it just is. Uhhh ok. They spend about 15 minutes on strategies on actually taking the test. Also most of the trades technical study is done at home. If you don’t get it, you just don’t get it. Be warned you will literally sit there for two weekends taking practice math exams and then going over the answers. That’s it.

A waste of $1000~ (tuition books not included)I attended camtech seminars in 2018, and 1st off they only teach you the business portion of the exam. The technical part is home study for my trade. They basically spent the first weekend going through some math problems and actually teaching you something, but the weekend after that they just give you practice exams and go over the answers. Unless you where an A+ student your whole life you will not be able to cram down all the info in those 2 weekends. I asked other students there how they felt about it, and they felt the same way. They do however give you just about every question to the exam in their home study course book, but there is just about 900 possible answers to the 100 question state exam. As far as the trade/ tech exam you are on your own they dont help at all with it besides their book. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to camtech.

The State Contractors Exam is no walk in the park! CAM does very well providing you with more than needed information, such as resources; books, study materials, tests... Some instructors are better than others. Ron & Tim were great ones! Yes the pricing is expensive yet a great investment!
