Florida Technical College - Lakeland Campus

The experience at Florida Technical College is great. The staff members are very helpful. They treat you like family. If you have any questions or concerns, there's always someone there to help. The teachers/professor are here to guide you through every step of the way. FTC is a good school to choose.

I was wanting to go back to school and other colleges did not take the time to help me and put in the extra effort to actually care about my future. But the first day I came to FTC the staff was wonderful and very friendly and helpful. They took the time to sit down and help me with my FAFSA to get started in college as soon as possible. Since I started my teachers and staff have been very helpful and always providing an encouraging word and always willing to help even on their free time for their personal life. The teachers really take the time and stay at school til night and are always around for help and questions. My teachers I have had so far have really pushed me to limits and things I thought I never could do they have pushed me to be a better person and soon to be graduate! I thank all the staff and teachers for everything such as your time out of your lives to care about the students graduating and putting in the effort and encouragement and just being there to listen when we need to talk. I feel like I just started in July in 2017 and I will be graduated in June 2018. I have had an absolute amazing, out of this world experience since I began and I have recommended the school to everyone I know you will NEVER find amazing teachers, staff, faculty and counselors anywhere else. They have also offered night school for when i was sick and could not make it in the morning. Hands on procedures and labs, are on point thanks to the teachers for offering a helping hand. My counselor as well Ms. Sherry and director Ms.Jill have also been the biggest supporters just from the first day! I would not call anywhere else comfortable or even relaxed with spontaneous fun and help provided. Another awesome person is the director of admissions Mr. Joshua he asks about how he can help you and how everything is going and makes sure you are taken care of he is real polite and very friendly plus has a heart for people actually trying to graduate and do better with their lives. Everyone here works together and helps each other and works as a team I have not been disappointed with the school, directors, faculty, and staff!

I got accepted into USF, but none of my Florida Technical College credits were applied towards my degree. Therefore, going to Florida Techh was a waste of money. I had to start over at a community college just to get into USF. UCF and USF have agreements with local community colleges to accept all students that finish their AA degree. Plus, community colleges are way cheaper than private schools like Florida Tech. My advice is to just go to a community college, especially if you plan on going to a University or Medical school/Grad school. UPDATE: I recently graduated from USF and I decided to follow up. Low and behold I see that Florida scam school has responded and reported my post as spam in an attempt to hide the truth. The accreditation that respected schools have is from the sacscoc, if you google it you can search their database for all schools accredited by them in the South. If you follow my advice and attend a school on that list you won’t have a problem transferring your credits. Good luck and FYI most of the 5 star reviews are fake.

FTC is a wonderful school full of wonderful people trying to help you build a better future for yourself and family. I have the best admin Mrs. Sheri Jernigan. She is completely awesome i absolutely love her, she works so hard to help you meet your goals and she really cares about you and your problems and she always has time to help you. The teachers are wonderful as well and will work with you to meet any class goals or concerns you may have. Everyone is here to help, teacher, and get you graduated. If your looking to go back to school i highly recommend you come here.

Great experience thus far! I love my professor, he has been in constant communication with me from intros to class schedule down to class objectives. Awesome teacher to student ratio. I'm glad i choose Florida Tech to continue my education!
