I have lived in the apartment for almost 3 years and I really like here. The current manager Rhonda is very kind and responsible, she always responses to us very quick. The apartment is located right next to KUMC which is very convenience for me and my roommate to go to school there. It is very spacious in each unit and has good maintenance service.
These are the worst apartments that I have ever lived in. It's by KU hospital so you'll hear ambulances at all hours of the day&night. Also it's right by the fire station so you'll hear fire trucks at all hours of the day&night. They had sent out letters that they were hiring security but never did. I lived on the 2nd floor facing the street and on 2 separate occasions had someone climb on my balcony. They were checking the sliding doors to see if they were unlocked. Also if it rains too much it floods. And at winter time they don't put ice melt on the stairs or in the parking lot so be prepared to slip and fall. The apartments are very cheaply made. And the insulation is horrible so expect a high electric bill. And their is no central heating&air they have window units. They never change out the filters. Also their is only 1 dumpster for the whole apartment complex. Maintenance rarely comes out if you call. And if they do come out they never do the job right. Expect the rent to be raised frequently. The apartment manager Rhonda is very, very rude. Also the Tiehen Group Corporation are just as rude as the manager. Be prepared that they are a real estate business so they own several properties not just in Kansas City. And they are great at charging outrageously but not great at keeping up with their properties.
