Do not move here. This apartment complex raises our rent by $200+ every year while they offer newer residents lower prices. They do not treat existing tenants fairly. Prior to leaving, they tried raising our rent as expected, and after negotiating they did come down to our current price for the first time in three years. However, I am certain the only reason the negotiated with us, is because the apartment is nowhere near full capacity, and Charlotte is currently experiencing an overwhelming amount of new apartment communities. The entire first floor carpet smells like dog urine. Many floors reek of marijuana. The mail situation is a mess; your mail can be delivered to five places: 1 sometimes your door 2 sometimes the package room 3 sometimes the mailroom 4 the leasing office 5 sometimes to a random hallway! The leasing office does not assist in delivering packages, or monitor the mail rooms effectively. The whole apartment uses chirp to open doors, which is very frustrating. There is no option to get a manual key fob. The chirp app is down frequently or not working properly and locks you outside the complex. The first floor car gate to the garage is frequently down, and left open. It is also extremely unsafe since the gate is frequently broken, the door to access the first floor via the garage is always unlocked! When the gate is broken, anyone can just walk in off the street! There have been cases of homeless people wandering the building and cars being broken into. The apartment was extremely dirty when we moved in. Spiderwebs and leaves and dirt all over the balcony and outside area. Molding, floorboards, and carpet is coming up in multiple places. We tried getting this fixed, and the fix lasted 1 day. Staff is typically unfriendly and unwilling to help with issues. After moving out, the communication becomes even worse! I accidentally had 2 packages delivered to my old unit, and when I went to ask the leasing office about one of them, the woman working was so unhelpful and hesitated to even try to find it for me. It ended up being directly behind her. The other package was left outside our old unit door, and I had a friend stop down and pick it up same day it was delivered. The cleaning people opened my package, which is illegal! They will also charge you for unnecessary items after not resigning the lease; they charged us for two mail keys when we only ever received one. They charged us for not returning our parking stickers, when they already deactivated the access.
We moved to Camden Gallery after touring a few apartment complexes in the area. We appreciate the range of amenities offered, and how seamless they make everything - from trash collection to receiving packages and maintenance requests. The entire staff and maintenance team are super friendly and quick to resolve any issues. Most importantly, we feel incredibly safe with the security system they have in place. We toured the building with Valentyna and worked with her to secure our lease. She even visited our unit to check on packages during our move from out-of-state and communicated with us after-hours... she is the best!
My experience with Camden Gallery as a resident has been great. The management, maintenance and team that Camden has are all so helpful and communicative. I have worked with Kami in the leasing office on many occasions and she has always been amazing with helping me resolve issues and assist with questions. Kami went above and beyond on a busy Saturday afternoon to provide support when I needed it most. I would recommend Camden Gallery to anyone. Not only do they have a great team, but the location and amenities are hard to beat!
Excellent community and location to live. Everything is within walking distance, yet it is far quieter than other apartments in southend. The staff and maintenance crew do a good job of keeping things nice. Valentyna and Kami in the front office are the absolute best and go out of their way to get you the best possible leasing deal and help you settle in. The community is very pet friendly and you will like your neighbors. Most residents re-up their leases and only leave when they're moving out of town or buying a house, which is telling about how much the residents enjoy living here. Me and my dog highly recommend.
The best apartments in South End! Perfect location. Super clean common areas. Tons of gorgeous and well-designed amenities. Pool, gym and yoga room are exactly what I was looking for. Maintenance is on the ball!!! My AC was repaired in less than 24 hours! Valentyna in leasing office has been an angel since my very first visit to view the building. Most importantly..my very large and picky canine loves it here.
I am most partial to Camden Gallery’s pivotal location in Southend, offering easy access to the light rail station, a variety of restaurants, and a vibrant night life. The staff are extremely professional and reliable here, and I’ve only had positive experience with the service requests. The amenities provided by the complex are fantastic as well, adding to the overall appeal of living here. I had the pleasure of working with Valentyna, one of the leasing agents here, and her assistance was exceptional! Her friendly demeanor and expert guidance honestly made a significant impact in choosing Camden as my home. Highly recommend this place.
I moved to Camden Gallery Apartments from another apartment complex in the neighborhood 2 years and 8 months ago. That may not seem like much but I have NEVER lived in a complex this long. Why have I stayed? Sure the apartment and building is beautiful and the location can’t be beat. But the Camden Gallery team?! That’s the best part. On my first visit I met Katy LeGrand. I got a tour of the building and took a couple days to shop around. Katy followed up with me...but better yet she remembered my wishlist from walking the two units available. And when a better unit came open a few days later, she called me immediately. I came in within hours, toured the new unit and was ecstatic. All my hesitations for the other floor plans and my personal needs were cared for with this new plan. I honestly never want to give up my dream apartment. And I can’t thank Katy enough for actually taking the time to get to know me and my rental needs. The best part is after signing the lease, the level of care and service has only gotten better. Katy, Jamie - our super awesome, dog-loving, get things done manager - and the entire leasing office - plus Chuck, Richard, and the rest of the maintenance team: they are fast, attentive, caring, responsive, and just plain old care about your day. I’ve never had a question or issue go unresolved and I always feel like Camden is home. Plus my dog, Barley, gets a lot of attention from the entire Gallery team. I wouldn’t want to rent anywhere else in Charlotte. Thanks guys for keeping the best located apartment complex in Charlotte in tip-top shape, but also creating a home! Living at Camden Gallery has been a really positive experience for me. The location strikes a nice balance between convenience and calmness, making it easy to access what I need without feeling overwhelmed. I've been living here without a car and I've had no issues getting around as South End is very walk-able, the light rail is right across the street, and there are usually scooters on Camden Road. The amenities, like the fitness center, rooftop terrace, club room, and pool, are well-kept and add to the overall comfort. The staff here have been incredibly helpful throughout my time here. From day one, their genuine willingness to assist and address any concerns has made a significant difference in my living experience. Whether it's answering questions, providing guidance, or promptly resolving maintenance issues, their friendly and approachable demeanor has created a positive and supportive atmosphere. It's reassuring to know that there's a team of people who genuinely care about making sure residents feel comfortable and well taken care of.
My car was towed from the parking garage just hours after my guest pass expired. There were several non-resident cars parked without a guest parking pass, so I’m not sure why my car was towed shortly after the pass expired. The front desk had no idea where my car was, so I figured that it was stolen as there are many break ins around the area. Very dissatisfied
The highlight of my time renting here was how friendly and helpful all the staff were. I don't usually leave reviews, but had to make an exception here because it felt like they all went above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant time here. The building is at a great location, across from the light rail station and right next to several food options. The fitness center is clean, feels welcoming, and is among the nicest I've toured in the area. Despite working mostly from home and being a light sleeper, I wasn't bothered by the amount of noise here during my lease. I had a good time here and would recommend it to others.
