Canabar

I only venture to the Canabar because of the entertainment. There is very limited parking. The club space is very small, but I can forgive that since it is a historical landmark. I cannot overlook or forgive the bad attitudes of the bartenders, though. They actually ignore you. I witnessed a man assault another patron for no reason. Initially he was put out, but allowed to re-enter a few minutes later. The man was loud and obnoxious and this made me uncomfortable. This place has some of the best musicians in Columbus playing on their small stage, but it is being overshadowed with poor management. Too bad.

This bar isn't a bad place at all and definitely is suited for seasoned people. However I don't think some of the staff accept the younger generation. I am 32yrs old yet look as if I'm in my early 20s. I own two successful businesses and just wanted a drink after a long good at work. I waited 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged me after I flagged the bar tender down multiple times. I literally watched the bar tender circle around the bar attending to everyone else while pretending as if she didn't see me. I understand bar tending can be unpleasant at times yet this wasn't a busy night at all. Personally, I am saying if people under 40yrs old isn't welcome then may the bar owner of the bar please place a age limit on the front door

This is my new bar! I love the atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff, prices and drinks were great. In fact I left my wallet and picked it up 2 days later with everything in it I am so grateful. I love the Canabar!

Fun place to chill and grab a drink. It has a older crowd so no need to worry about young punks fighting the night away. The live band on the weekends is one of the best things about this place. I love going here.
