Canton Express

It's usually decent, which is why I always come back. But, I have to say, that tonight, I ordered the sesame chicken combination, and it is SPOT ON. So delicious. Tender, juicy chicken, fluffy rice, a perfect egg roll. I am extremely satisfied. I'd also like to add... I was reading some of the other reviews on here, and I noticed a lot of people mentioning "how horribly rude" the woman at the register is. She is not being rude. You are just perceiving her wrong. She is a hard worker who is just doing her job. Having worked in customer service for several years, I've noticed that many people will think that an Asian American person is being rude, when in reality they are actually not. It's a cultural thing. She is not trying to be rude. Please try to bear that in mind.

To sum it up, the rude service and mediocre food makes Canton Express a scratch for me. The food, while mediocre at best, is your typical run of the mill Chinese takeout. The Orange chicken was alright, and the szechuan vegetables actually had a bitter taste. The fried rice and white rice where good. However, the food was not the main problem. The service was unacceptable. We were told our food would be 25 minutes. When I showed up (around 15 minutes after the call because we were a bit early), the first thing the lady said was, "What was your order? We told you 25 minutes! We had you scheduled at 7:30, it's 7:20! You're early, wait! We told you 25 minutes!" We expected to have a wait, but to be greeted by someone actually yelling at us, is something that makes me want to never go back. There was only one other customer who was there in our 10 minutes of sitting, and he started out by saying "I know I'm early." So this clearly is a reoccurring problem. While being nicer after the initial greeting, it was not the way customers should be talked to. While going here for years, this is my last time ordering from Canton Express.

Ordered Ginger Fried Shredded Beef, received sweet and sour something. I know the difference, there was no Ginger. I contacted the owner Jimmy, who was rude and argumentative. I will never order from this restaurant again.

I drive 50 miles for their sesame chicken. The best in the state!

The food has always been good. I have only ordered pedestrian things like the Chinese fried shrimp, pork egg foo young, pork fried rice and chicken chow mein. I've never been disappointed and my order is always ready when they say it will be. They do seem to have changed ownership a while back but the items I've ordered taste the same as they always have.
