Carlton Hair

Carlton was 45 minutes late for my 1:45pm December 31st appointment. When he finally saw me at 2:30pm, he refused to provide a basic service. His previous client that was scheduled for 1 p.m. was somehow more than an hour late and took precedent before us . I had to insist that I was on time and needed to receive service for my family. I even opted out of hair color as he wasn't comfortable applying single process color and continued trying to sell me extra services that I simply did not need and did not want. I finally realized that we were running out of time and agreed to just have a basic refresher trim I showed a picture of a cut I liked for myself and two 8 year old girls who were both waiting very patiently for 45 minutes as well. Carlton decided that our personalities, and I quote, are not a match, and demanded for us to leave his salon. At that point it was pass 3 p.m. and we received no service other than total hysteria and insults. My girls are still traumatized from the experience.

My visit to Carlton hair was personalized and refreshing. Carlton was professional but down to earth. He modeled that quality is better than quantity as he smoothly transitioned in between clients. I went for highlights, deep condition, cut, style and once there, didn't know which color to choose for my highlights. I've never had highlights before. He walked me through a rainbow of colors without a hint of impatience. Cool guy with an infectious personality and sense of humor. Carlton hair was an over-the-top experience. I'll be back! My four stars rating only reflects everyone's room for improvement.

Carlton is wonderful. He spent so much time on my cut and color, which turned out *exactly* the way I asked. He was incredibly professional, with a thorough consultation before I even sat in the chair. He's incredibly positive and took the time to get to know me so that he could match my style with my personality. I've been to a handful of places in Center City for various services, and he was the best listener, the most skilled, and the most fun to chat with. I absolutely recommend visiting him!

My first trip to Carlton Hair was as a walk-in In spring of this year. Carlton took time to listen to my hair issues & concerns then prescribed a strategy to help me attain what I wanted: less breakage, moisture & growth. From African hair to Asian hair to European hair & all those in between, Carlton can work his magic. He is a consummate professional; extremely, knowledgeable and skilled; easy-going and friendly. He listens! Then he asks lots of questions before suggesting options to your issues. After the consult I set my 1st appoint for a basic cut to get rid of the frizz hounding my natural hair. The cut was awesome! The shape lasted for 3 months! Now, it's fall & I'm due for another trim. I'm also starting his moisture treatment to help grow my hair. I'm excited! I've found a stylists who does what I would do to my hair; if I had the skill. Carlton is a keeper. He's earned my business! And, I'd recommend him to anyone who asks.

Carlton has a cute little salon. He listens to what you want without being pushy or opinionated. He is very skilled at what he does. I loved my cut so much I plan to go back for color.

Carlton is a craftsman. Precision haircuts done well. His chair is always full when I pass by. Getting an appointment can be competitive, but worth it.

Was VERY late more than an hour to my appointment, way understaffed just himself He was all over the place, answering phone calls, and cleaning as he cut my hair. The results weren't good at all, even though what I asked for was fairly straightforward.
