Carolina Ale House

We came in with a table of 5 and they were not very busy. It seemed to put them in a tail spin to find a way to seat 5 people. They tried the high tops, but my wife is vertically challenged and hates the tall stools. They finally were able to pull two tables together and we sat at this long double table huddled at one end. The server was doing her best, but she was obviously handling a lot of tables. I think someone called in sick. Like I said, she did her best, but everything took forever. The food has always been blah and this time proved no different. Add the fact that parking is impossible and this becomes my least favorite place to eat in The Vista. There are much better options.

The last few times we've gone, the downstairs area was closed, so we've been sent upstairs to the bar area. This time the same thing happened, but we were seated outside on the upstairs terrace. It was fairly chilly outside, and there were a number of tables already seated. We heard people at two adjoining tables commenting on the cold. I'd have gone to the car to get a coat, but wasn't expecting to be outside for any length of time. We received appetizers, which were hot upon arrival but were cold well before we could finish. We asked our server if we could get seated inside, but were informed that there was a wait to be seated indoors. Meanwhile the entire lower floor was empty and warm... yet closed. We eventually got seated inside, but this is one of the many visits where I wonder if the management team is asleep at the wheel.

Did not have their act together on a busy day like St. Patrick's Day. We were celebrating a birthday there. People's food orders were half right. It took over an hour to get the rest of the food out. The server was calm but she should have had the manager come over, and she should not have charged for some of the meals. One young girl ate fruit while she waited an hour for the rest of her meal to come. My brisket sliders were very dry but did have a nice flavor as I washed down each bite with water... :(

Food was excellent, everything was excellent...we all ordered different items and all was great. The portions were large, the prices reasonable. The Bartender was a little stuffy at first but then she lightened up,was very accommodating and the service was very good.

Service was the best because of the fast drinks. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lighting. But that's my personal preference. It is an ale house. They have a large selection of beers, ales, liquors, and mixed drinks. The food was actually better than I had anticipated. Definitely going back with my friends for a night of fun in a good atmosphere.
