Excellent seafood. My son took me there for lunch. Can't wait to go back. Nice variety of fresh fish to purchase if you want to take it to go for cooking also.

I love their takeout fried walleye. The best seasoning I've tasted in a long time!! Generous portions, good sides, fast and hot food. No seating area but it's so good I'll happily eat it in my car!

Excellent fried walleye. River fries and okra were very good. Huge portions! Don't waste your time with tartar sauce packets though. Use tartar sauce at home or buy a bottle at the grocery store if you're from out of town.

Carter's is a tradition. Always hot, fresh and high quality. The staff are always friendly and go the extra mile no matter how busy they are or what the weather is like. When I am in Springfield, I always try to make it here. The breading you can buy and use at home is great.
