I worked with Courtney at CDN, and she is like a bff/sister to me now! Not only was I was a COVID bride changed from needing a black tie to beach wedding gown but I’m also super indecisive, and my family lives out of town so aside from a few bridesmaids, Courtney herself made me feel like I had a big cheerleading squad to help me pick out the perfect dress and my dress was in fact, perfect. Courtney was with me for every single appointment starting in 2019 then again at their new location in 2021 and was so attentive to my needs and deciphering how I was feeling in each style, material and shape of all their dresses. She actually picked my dress based off of my feedback, and it was one that I wouldn’t have pulled myself! She checked on me during all my fittings and always made sure I was happy and comfortable getting ready for my big day. Luvi also helped me find someone close by who could clean my heirloom veil, and they made the process seamless. I wish I could do it all over again and would wear every single dress CDN carries- they are exquisite just like their team especially Courtney!!
One star for impeccable communication during scheduling my appointment. Zero stars for customer service. This is my third bridal boutique experience this year and expected high-end service to match their higher-end gowns. Started off pleasant and quite normal. The space itself is unimpressive and the dressing room is more of a storage room. I chose a few gowns and gave the consultant an idea of what I was looking for. First, I had to put on the gowns myself in the dressing room and step out to be zipped. Not usually a big deal but when there’s tons of fabric and layers, help really does make a difference the other boutiques *always* assisted. Then, she was unable to find clips to close the gown, seemingly unprepared to fit all sizes of clientele only clips for the small ones!, and didn’t care the top was ill fitting until I asked her to pull it properly. Literally no interest in making the dress look appropriate on me. She did not pull any other gowns nor provide suggestions, she offered only reasons why I shouldn’t try on gowns: summer lace isn’t appropriate for an October wedding, Israeli designer designs for “flat chested women” but decided to tell me that after I had the dress on and uncomfortable, suggested other bridal boutiques. I decided to keep going because I had really looked forward to trying these gowns on. My last was an Oscar de la Renta which I *really* loved. I asked if it could be lined because it was obviously sheer I wore darker undies on purpose precisely for this reason. She said it was lined and I’m wearing the wrong undergarments, and again adamantly said it didn’t need to be lined. She then proceeded to tell me, for the second time, to visit other bridal boutiques… At that point I knew I needed to leave, obviously they were uninterested in helping or selling anything to us. Really awful. I now see a few other ladies who had the same experience as me. I’m incredibly thankful this wasn’t my first wedding gown experience.
Wouldn't recommend. Dresses are pretty, but more expensive than comparable boutiques carrying the same dresses/designers. Salesy feel. Once they sell you the dress they don't care about you. Their in-house seamstress canceled on me two months before my wedding. Would not recommend. Go to Dallas or San Antonio if you're looking for a designer wedding gown.
I purchased my Monique Llhuillier wedding gown here for my March wedding. I fell in love with ML's dresses after visiting a few bridal salons and trying on dozens of different designers/styles of dresses. I think Casa is one of the few stores in Houston that carries ML and Vera Wang. Carmen was my consultant and I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me find my dream dress. She was patient and honest, never pushy and always gave me useful and helpful feedback. I ended up ordering my dress at the ML trunk show and was able to get a small discount. My dress arrived on time and fit perfectly. Their in house alteration charges a flat rate of $750. I thought this was really steep considering I needed hemming, bustle and bra cups sewn in. and nothing else done. After going in for 3-4 fittings and asking them to remake my bustle. I felt this price was worth it. It gave me a peace of mind knowing someone very experienced was taking good care of it and they were willing to do whatever it takes to make it perfect. Management was very professional and responsive. My mom had a disagreement with the alteration lady at my second fitting appointment, I ended up letting them know about our unexpected experience and received a call right away with a sincere apology. Although I didn't have a negative experience at any other bridal salons in the Houston area. I would recommend Casa and Carmen in a heartbeat. The dresses here are more high end, but their service reflects that. Their customer service is very attentive and genuine.
If you're looking for a high-end wedding gown in Houston this is the place to find it! Carmen and Luvi are both absolutely amazing to work with! It wasn't about just selling me a dress for them. They both genuinely wanted to me to look and feel beautiful in my gown! After hearing horror stories from my friends about wedding dress alterations I was very happy to hear all the alterations are done at the salon. Adela is truly a tailoring magician! Even when I got food poisoning and lost weight two weeks before the wedding they made sure I had two extra fittings so my dress would be perfect for our big day!!
Loved this bridal store!! Would definitely recommend! Got my dream dress!
On day one of looking for a wedding dresses, I went home and practically cried. I had found zero dresses I liked after 3 appointments at three different places. But on the morning of day two, a friend set me up with an appointment with Carmen and everything changed. Carmen is amazing!! Within a very short time, my only issue was deciding between the three beautiful dresses she picked out for me. Carmen was there for all five of my fittings and made sure everything was perfect, even on the last one when she had the wonderful seamstress take it in some more. I also have to commend the seamstress. My dress was very delicate and she had to do numerous alterations to make it fit perfect. She did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Casa de Novia.
Although I had some hiccups from the arrival date to the designer making minor adjustments, etc. my experience with the owner and the seamstress was unexpectedly good and professional. Irina, the seamstress, is superb in her skills, genuine and honest. I’m very picky but I definitely I will trust my dress to her if I need any adjustments. Carmen helped me with finding the right veil for my dress. She would make sure I’m happy with everything. Will definitely recommend everyone to check out CDN bridal boutique.
Carmen is absolutely patient and professional! I was just looking for a sash and she let me to try on a wedding dress in order to show me how the sash look like on the dress. She showed me several different styles and provided many useful advice. I could not decide that day and she didn't push at all. Even though she spent lots of time that day and check the inventory with different styles for me. Finally I decided to buy the sash they have and I told Carmen I will be at store around 1PM, when I arrive, I saw her was already waiting for me with a packed sash.
I had a great experience at this shop. Their dresses are so beautiful! My consultant even sent me some pictures that I had requested. If you are looking for a high end shop definitely visit Casa de Novia!! I think I went to every store in Houston and the surrounding area. All stores had a great selection of dresses and were really sweet and helpful except AMORE bridal also known as The Bridal Depot
