Had a great time hunting with Castaway Lodge this weekend. Everyone was so friendly. The rooms and food were great, only to be outdone by the duck hunting. We hunted two full days and knocked them down every time. Our guide James was probably the most knowledgeable and passionate guy I’ve ever hunted with. I’ve been hunting several years and it was great to pick up some new tricks from a seasoned hunter. If you want to shoot redheads this is your place. You’re not going to find a better deal around, I’d go ahead and book your hunt now. Thanks to Kris and everyone there for giving us such a memorable hunt.

Great time at Castaway Lodge! I took 3 guys with me and none of us had been duck hunting prior to this trip. I think we are all hooked now. The staff was awesome and the guide was dailed in on putting us on ducks. The processes they have in place are turn key from start to finish. The food and lodging was also excellent. I would highly recommend a weekend of duck hunting with Castaway Lodge. I’m looking forward to taking my wife to Castaways for some spring fishing and the guys I took this year already told me they want to do this trip again next year. Thank you Kris, Wendy and the Castaway staff, you guys are awesome!

What an amazing time at Castaway Lodge. On top of the great hunting, the food is incredible! We were stuffed with steak, port, duck, wild boar, quail, Prime Rib and more. The rooms are immaculate and cleaned daily. Plenty of room for gear and relaxation. The guides know their stuff and the staff are super friendly. I highly recommend this place for Duck Hunting in South Texas.

Our family recently spent time hunting and fishing at the Castaway Lodge in Seadfrift, Texas. This was one of our best vacations EVER. The accommodations were new and clean and beautiful. The food was the best ! Great home southern cooking prepared well and beautifully served. And the staff was TOP NOTCH. The hunting and fishing guides were so professional, smart, and friendly. They made sure that we did very well each day. The entire staff from owners to guides to cooks and housekeepers all treated us like family. We will definitely be back !!

Great experience! First class accommodations. The food was wonderful. Fishing with James was outstanding. There is nothing better than Castaway Lodge in Seadrift, TX!!!
