Cbeyond is the bottom of the bottom when it comes to providers. Avoid using their services at ANY cost.
Hosted email solution disconnects *constantly* resulting in bounced emails saying your email host or domain can't be found. THIS WILL KILL YOUR BUSINESS!! One missed or rejected email can spell disaster. That may be important tax information regarding your business, or a possible sale that now wants nothing to do with you because you can't even send or receive email reliably.
**Email should ALWAYS be up and running, ALWAYS.**
Just calling in to receive support or notify them of a problem is an extreme challenge by itself. When I attempted to contact them about one of our customers having email issues, they blew me off multiple times and wouldn't even listen to me without an account number.
If you're looking into this company as a service provider, don't. I can provide chat logs and email chains if anyone is interested in seeing how bad of a company this is, with names and sensitive information redacted, of course.

By far the worst customer service I have ever used. I have made dozens and dozen of recorded calls to their customer service reps and have just gotten excuses and timeframes of 30 days, just to get me off the phone. They merged with our old provider and we can't wait to get rid of them. Terrible stay away at all costs.

I'm shocked to see all the problems people are posting about... assuming it's not just 1 pis$ed off dude...
Anyways, I used to have Charter at my restaurant... and every couple months the service would just go down on hours at end. Now doing a fair amount of carry-out/delivery orders... no phones messed my world up.
CBEYOND came in... and I'm not going to lie.. it is pricier. About double what I paid with Charter. But they take care of my webhosting, search maximizing, and I can get up to 20 lines. But in 2.5 years, I've never lost service of phones or internet. Never any communication problems, and never slow speeds.
They will work with you on price a little bit if you hassle them. But, outside of the higher cost... I have never dealt with a better telecom company.

Pathetic customer service, seriously dodgy ethics. Proceed with caution. What you *might* save in $$ you will pay for repeatedly in frustration.
