Central Square Apartments

Don’t recommend. This place has rats and roaches. The cabinets are dirty and have bite marks from mice and rats, and the appliances in the kitchen are old and don’t work at all. Had to replace our stove with a new one. Dishwasher is older than me I’m pretty convinced. Our sink kept breaking and we contacted the office multiple times but late responses, they didn’t even care. Speaking of that, when you request something get fixed it takes decades for a response. They find every excuse to charge you. This is the worst place I’ve lived in. Please please please avoid at ALL costs!!

So far I've only gone through a tour. I was impressed with the layout, the price, but mostly Tyree who gave us a tour. She was knowledgeable, kind, welcoming, and while I complimented her name she let me know she hates it. In short just ask for Tyree and compliment her name 10/10.

So the complex has began directing people to park on Tamarack on the east side of the street directly across from other apartments. Obviously that decision was not a result of how that would impact traffic flow, driver and pedestrian safety. As it stands now, cars are unable to get through simultaneously, let alone the frequent amount of buses. That stretch is also the route foe several bus stops and is constantly busy. The response of the complex is like parking has been occurring there foe years. Definitely not the case and this is an accident waiting to occur. Parked cars on the other side of Tamarack have already experienced damage to their vehicles as a result of driver inattention so this is likely to increase. I imagine there will be many complaints to follow. Highly inconsiderate to the neighborhood and general safety of pedestrians and drivers .

We tried excusing the crazy amount we paid just for a deposit and reserving it. We even understood some crazy charges the first month of rent. But it’s crazy how we signed up for a 1,200 a month and ended up paying 1,500 because of the extra charges. We loved this place for the space and the price but it’s just crazy how it’s out of our budget. They will find anything to charge you. DONT RENT HERE!!!

My roommate and I toured this place today and it was great! Everyone who worked there was super friendly and the tour went good. Tyree gave us our tour and she was very nice and answered all of our questions! :

Took them over 24 hours to come fix my kitchen sink that was clogged on both sides and had the dishwasher clogged. Office told me to use my bathroom sink to cook and wash dishes. I left a message for corporate. Maintenance came a few hours later. Richard was cool. He got it done fast and put my stuff back.

DO NOT APPLY HERE. It cost $300 just to APPLY. I make over 6x rent, have a 100% payment history when it comes to credit, and have been employed for the past ten years. My application got denied, I filed an appeal with supporting paperwork confirming that I have made consistent credit payments monthly for the past two years and have adequate income. The screening company this complex uses, GrowRent is full of 1 star reviews citing being denied apartments despite being fully qualified so that the companies can pocket the fees. Despite paying over $100 for a HOLD FEE after selecting a move in date, I was placed on a waitlist for the apartment and then had to dig through the website to see that I was officially denied. My appeal hasn’t even been processed yet. I have tried to contact management, how called, emailed and texted repeatedly before I completed my application and suddenly they are unreachable. Do not waste your time and your money. Completely unconscionable way to run a business.

Tay was amazing! He came in and did an expert job on fixing all maintenance issues we had in our place! He was professional and very kind! We truly thank him and Central Square for always being amazing!!

Jazz was super understanding and very patient with us through the application process. Would definitely recommend! Property is nice and maintained!

They have soo much cockroaches and if you ask to fix something they take a long time they don’t even care sooo what ever u do don’t move here if u do u will have mice and cockroaches
