Charlotte Express Inn

This motel needs to be condemned. City of Charlotte does not need to allow businesses like this to function in the Queen City. No way on earth will it pass inspection of any sort, but they are charging more than other higher grade hotel. It's just a dump. I did not mean to give it a star, I was aiming for negative star

Need to learn correct customer service dealing with Hotel Guest with disabilities. My son with Schizophrenia becomes paranoid. He likes to sit in my car on passenger side. He feels safer during these moments. Hotel clerk made him get out or she would call the police, & make a report of the incident to file complaints of violation of his rights, & he does have some. It is against the law to discriminate against people with disabilities. I started to call them myself except an old friend works there he told him to go in the room for me. I already told him he needed to come in because people already wondered why he was in the car. But really it was not their business to know his trauma. They had no signs saying guest could not sit in their car. I let him because it calms him. Would not recommend it.

It had working locks on the door, working refrigerator, working flat screen tv with remote, and outlet to charge my phone. No roaches. I could ask for no more once I saw the property. It wasn't a Marriott nor did it bill itself as one.

Nasty attitude, nasty rooms, staring people down low prices.

They have bed bugs. I've stayed there on numerous occasions. The owners are rude and at one time they had roaches. I do like the size of their rooms, but I don't like that they only have microwaves in select rooms. You have to go to the office just to use the microwave if you don't have a room with a microwave. During the summer the pool is closed most of the time if open at all. Me personally if it's summer time and I pay for a hotel that has a pool, I'm expecting to have access to that pool if I'm paying my money. Just my opinion. I also noticed that depending on how long you plan to stay or if you are a local resident will most likely determine the type of room you will get. You have a better chance at getting a good room if you are from out of town and only plan to stay a few nights. I do like the facts that it's near by different food restaurants so you have multiple options, and a few places will deliver. It's also near grocery stores etc. so anything you need can be gotten within close distance of the hotel.

Never in my life have I seen a motel so dirty. Trash behind the beds, cock roaches in the tub and they charge you for the remote control. They had dirty blankets outside the rooms and was told that they never wash them from a housekeeper. They need to be shut down. Very rude and they discriminate against everyone. Hate it

This room is barely okay for a one night stay. Tv didn't work, the room was dirty, and nothing but a bed to sleep in unless the neighbors start yelling. If they yell, then you won't sleep because of listening to their drama. After washing my feet, I stepped on the carpet and my feet were dirty again. 1 star is being generous.

The clerk Jamie was very nice but the room was disgusting. It was infested with roaches. Roaches were on the bed, bathroom all over the tables. The next day I went to report about it the front desk clerk was very nasty to me. She was nothing like Jamie. In the end they gave me another room which also had roaches but not as many as the other room. I end up having to spray the room with bug spray I purchased. Long story short do not go to this place. It’s cheap but it is not worth it.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT stay here. We arrived late in the evening and had to go to the night check in room. I walked in and two guys were cancelling their reservation because of how dirty the room was. They showed me pictures of their room and I instantly cancelled my room too. Rude male behind the counter. Run down, unsafe area. Stay far far away!
