Walked in the branch, no one there to greet you. Then I asked for a notary and they said they dont have a notary. No smiles nothing. I remember when I use to work at Chase it was a requirement to greet clients with a smile and walked to over to your desk. I guess 2022 customer service dont matter no more. The branch wasnt busy at all maybe one client inside.
Update: It's September and my case continues to be unresolved since May, due to the dismissive attitude of the different departments who don't care to make clients re-do the same operation over and over and over again to then get a letter asking to do it again, when it had been done several times following their own instructions. I feel deeply frustrated. I have wasted hours of my life on the simplest of matters in this bank. Inefficient. I don't like to write reviews that can damage anyone's reputation but I have completely lost my patience. The service at this branch is in absolute decline. If your issue is not a traditional daily banking need, you are out of luck. I have been trying for 3 month to resolve a simple issue, deadline passed and I am still back to the beginning. I will change this review if I see positive and effective change.
I’ve had a Chase checking account since I attended Fordham in 1987. I have my mortgage and my checking and savings account with Chase. Sometimes you need a bank to be there for you; I’m handling my uncles estate and need a Madalion stamp. As soon as I sat down with “ customer service” I was told why Chase couldn’t help me. You can still charge me monthly service fees. The exact same situation happened during my moms estate, but I was difficult and they eventually helped me. I’ll be switching all my accounts ;except my mortgage to TD bank, a bank who understands what customer service means.
You can never get through on the phone, notaries are often unavailable or refuse to service you, only 2 teller windows are staffed by humans, the other teller windows are blocked by giant ATM machines, rather than staffing the windows... in general, Chase sucks and despite being a huge, profitable corporation, clearly don't want to pay tellers. I've been banking with Chase since 1991 and I'm sick of dealing with the declining service. I'm switching to Aspiration, where at least my money will do good in the world and I won't be treated like garbage.
Terrible service. Staff is inept. Had a business banking relationship for years and every time i needed to do basic ministerial tasks, they obstruct, delay, and punt responsibility. All i get is reasons why I can't and blaming other branches. So when I go to end my relationship, they look to delay on that as well, attempting to send me through more hoops. Don't bank here. you'll be disappointed.
Recently I needed help with some accounts - closing some unwanted/unnecessary accounts and opening up a new savings account. Alyssa was very helpful with all of this and knew exactly what to do on the Chase app on my iPhone in order for it to work. I was pleased with her competence and pleased that she wasn't pressuring me for unnecessary services. Then last week I had a problem with my account due to my credit card processor not Chase and Alyssa and Vijay helped me out again. Very capable and polite. This branch is also quiet and dignified.
I’ve been settling my moms estate, and I often need a notary or a medallion stamp for necessary paperwork. Last years male manager gave me attitude and practically made me beg for it. This year a female downright turned me down because I wasn’t transferring funds into a chase account. My mortgage is with chase, and I’ve had a checking and savings account since 1987. Really? What purpose do I have a long term relationship with a bank if I can not get a few privileges. Go to TD bank, friendly and professional.
This bak has been featured in Chris Voss's book at the beginning of chapter 2
Terribly rude customer service who don’t even look up from their computer to acknowledge you. Misinformation between Chase online representatives and the branch representatives. Would not recommend this bank.
