Chez Yasu

Absolutely delicious! I took my son for his 21st birthday. I've lived in Topeka my whole life and have never been here, what shame. I started with the squash soup, then house salad. My son had the goat cheese salad and he loved it. I had the salmon in white wine sauce and he had the seafood crepe. We had the napoleon and cheesecake for dessert. What a gem! Definitely pricey but definitely worth it!

We try to support local restaurants and Chez Yasu is a gem. The food is very good. I ordered the beef medallions and the meat was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The green beans were delicious as well. Chez Yasu serves warm bread with the meal too. The bread was soft and tasted great. I was surprised how few people were there when we arrived because Chez Yasu has some of the better food in Topeka. I would given five stars if the waitress had a better understanding how the food was made. We were there dinner and the lighting in the restaurant was very dim which made it difficult to read the menu. A couple of things that would have made our experience better would have been if the host/waitress would have greeted us when we arrived. It took a couple of minutes for the waitress to acknowleged our arrival and if the waitress had offered to take our coats. The final suggestion, would be that guest are greeted and given water at the time they're seated. We waited several minutes for our waitress to fill our water glasses, take our drink order, and tell us about the specials.

Best restaurant in Topeka. Cozy, warm. Like going home. Exquisite French cuisine. Our family craves the squash soup.

French cuisine at its finest! Delicious entrees, a fabulous selection of wines and champagne. Try the filet or boeuf bourguignon, you won't be disappointed. Pricey, but the experience is worth it!
