Georges French Bistro

An absolute hidden gem in Wichita! The staff was very helpful and courteous! The atmosphere and decor we're very nice. The food was delicious! The whole menu looked delicious but I will have a hard time departing from what I had last time because I enjoyed it so much. I guess that means we will have to visit more often.

The service is the headline here. Everyone was courteous and attentive and our waiter was very sharp. The escargot was tasty and the tomato soup was good. I got the bouillabaisse which left something to be desired, but the dessert filled that void nicely. The restaurant was busy and packed tight with tables and chairs. That would usually bug me, but the ambiance worked well and it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

Scallops were delicious!! Bouliabaise was fabulous! Pork, steak and snapper were less than par. Steak was over cooked and sauce was absent. Snapper was dry and so was barley/risotto side. Desserts and wine list were excellent. Atmosphere and decor were right on! A few food tweaks and you'll have an A+ bistro!!

Excellent French Bistro!!! They have fresh shipped in oysters, mussels, and other seafood. And they of course have superb traditional French cuisine. Good depth in their wine list and in their fine quality whiskey/ liquor selections. Also excellent service!!! If not happy, they'll fix it! I have been a weekly regular since Georges opened. A true treasure in Wichita!!!!

It was good food. I don't think my in laws were impressed by the escargot. Their calamari is probably my favorite so far in Wichita. It isn't too handicapp accessible in there. They have lots of tables and it's pretty tight in there but besides that it was a place to experience. Not infant friendly as there is no changing table.
