Chido's Tex-Mex Grill

I just want to start off and say that the atmosphere was great. I loved the food, the decor, and the vibe that Chido’s gives. However my group did not enjoy the service that was given from our server Elena. She did not smile ONE TIME that she was serving us, and despite us all being there for a co workers birthday (hence the party hats all of us were wearing and the fact that the birthday girl herself was wearing a crown and a button that said “it’s my birthday”) she didn’t acknowledge any of that. She took our order and checked on us about 3 times. We got better service from the bus boys and girls. We ALL felt the level of disrespect that she gave us, and very disappointed with her overall customer service to us. I did observe that there were two gentlemen next to us at a table, and she showed them a way better attitude, and she even smiled at them. While giving us the check, my boss asked her if she can separate the drinks from the food and she made it seem like that was a difficult request. My boss asked if she can try to do that, but if not she can just put them all on the same check. Elena comes back, gives her the check and my boss asks, “were you able to split it?” And Elena points at the checks and says “yeah, it’s right there” in such an annoyed tone. At that point my boss asked us if she should write a note to Elena to tell her she hopes her day gets better. I simply replied so not tip her, because she did not deserve it due to such poor service. I will be returning to Chido’s, but if I get Elena again I will politely ask to get another server.

The food is really good. I have ate here 3 times now and the bigger plates might take longer to get to you but they are worth the wait! Excellent Mexican food. Highly recommended. The staff are friendly and very helpful!

We visited out of curiosity on an off night. The place has good parking and is located off the main drag. Very unassuming to say the least. You could tell right away that it is family friendly. It has outdoor seating, with a lakefront view. Now for the customer service. Excellent! I consider chips and salsa to be my first impression indicator. It does not disappoint. Menu selection is wide. We tried the seafood enchilada and I wolfed mine down. The Mrs carried half here order to go. Made a great lunch for me next day. We will return. Hope to see you there.

Chidos is one of my favorite Mexican spots to hit up for taco Tuesdays with friends! The food is always on point and staff are very friendly. They have awesome chips and salsa. The outdoor seating and atmosphere is nice as well. You definitely need to give this place a try if your in the area looking for some great Mexican food! They have a clean facility and ample parking.

Did take out. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Great greeters. Food was absolutely delicious. Taste great, well seasoned and large portions. Great price point!
