The foods 5 stars. Service is 3. After I payed the waitress runs up to use after giving us less then adequate service. Telling me that the tip isn't included in the bill as I'm about to drop a 40% cash tip. . . Because that's what we usually drop. Again the foods good. You can have a long wait at the door when they're busy. You'll feel rushed. If you want Kimchi rice you'd better ask while ordering or they'll skip it. If you want good service head somewhere else.

If you like Korean Barbecue this one ranks highly with my friends. Unfortunately, that’s where the goodness ends. The staff seem a little biased so if you don’t have a Korean in your group you may not be able to enjoy it fully. You see, they change the portions and side options depending on who you are. They also don’t speak English well, so it’s more difficult to order. On top of all that, I don’t even like Korean Barbecue because I’m vegetarian and don’t love smelling like cooked meats when I eat out...and that’s exactly what happens here just like all the others. They did have some veggie options on the menu, but you have to modify existing menu items to leave out meat. Again, good luck if you or your friends don’t speak Korean.

Within 2 minutes of sitting down at our table, the staff at Cho Sun Ok started pestering us to order our food. We asked them for some more time but they kept asking us every 30 seconds for our order. Granted it was a busy Friday night but that shouldn't excuse that type of behavior. It felt like they were trying to rush us out before we even ordered anything.
After ordering and getting our food, the staff then proceeded to dump all the meat onto the grill and cook it for us. Normally I wouldn't be against this but again, it felt like they were trying to rush us out as quickly as possible. I felt like I was eating just to keep up with all the meat that was being cooked. The food was good but I barely had enough time to register the flavor before I was rushed into eating something else.
Finally, the entire time we were eating, there were people right in front of us waiting to get a seat. Because there's nobody to handle the people waiting at the front door and there's no wait-list system, people basically have to stand in line to wait for a table. How the staff chooses people to seat is also arbitrary too. There were two people in front of us when we arrived but we got seated first because we had a larger party.
At the end of the day, even though the food was good and the price was relatively cheap for Korean BBQ, I don't think I'll be going back to Cho Sun Ok just because of the unsatisfactory service experience I had. It really does seem like all they're interested in (at least during peak hours) is getting as many people to eat and pay for their meal as they can. Until they fix their service problems, I would not recommend anyone going here unless you're going during off peak hours.

Damn we used come here a lot!
$25 for a bulgogi for two people.
Very very small place and you will definitely pick up some smell on your clothes when you leave.
Below average customer service but great food! Although last time portions were way smaller than usual.

Excellent Korean bbq with a decent menu of additional dishes. BYOB. Place is very popular, and as a result, crowded during dinner time well into the night, and you will probably have to wait in line just to get a table. Worth the wait, though. Have someone stand in line while another person walks to Jewel to buy drinks.
