San Soo Gab San

This restaurant was really good. The meat was marinated perfectly. The staff was friendly and the late hours were nice. I felt the food was very overpriced, though. They do give you a ton of banchan, but the amount of meat just didn't seem to be worth it. This is still a great place that would be a lot of fun for groups.

We like this location better than Morton Grove. It is a more welcoming place. The waitstaff greeted regulars warmly and helpful to newcomers. The meats are good and the small bites plentiful. This was our second visit.

You want awesome and authentic Korean BBQ, then this is the place. If you want 5 star dining table service, then this is not the place for you. They also include gratuity regardless, I've only gone in groups of 4 or more so not sure if that is every party or not. Also, no kids menu so you will pay full price to feed any young ones in the party.

This place is amazing. It is also loud and even with the tabletop hoods it gets quite smoky, so not great for intimate conversations, but for a fun group meal I cannot recommend more highly. The marinated thinly sliced beef and marinated pork ribs were flavorful and the tabletop charcoal grill is super fun. Not a good call for young kids, buckets of live coals plus dozens of tiny dishes plus tiny impatient hands is not a good combination.

I went here last weekend but I overcooked my bacon. Pretty good service, and I managed to slip a tiny bit of sake into my drink. I woke up with a hangover the next morning which also happened to be a school day, I am a lightweight.
