Cindy's Chinese Restaurant

This place is awesome, despite some negative reviews. We have been ordering from Cindy's for a few years now and have been very pleased with their service and especially their food. We do not eat meat, fish or pork but they seem to have great selections for VEGETARIANs. The Veg Mai Fun and Veg Chow Fun are delicious, as well as the Veg Moo Shu. They have imitation chicken, beef and shrimp dishes; I recommend keeping it simple with the Veg Chicken w/Broccoli (but their Veg Beef w/Snow peas is a good contender). This place really is one of those best kept secrets. Thank you Cindy's!

We’ve been in this area for 9 years now and have always had more than satisfactory experience’s with Cindy and her staff. No one beats her General Tso’s chicken. And her food is not greasy like some other Chinese restaurants. They deliver and also give a free liter of soda.

This was the worsttttt Chinese food I ever ate in my life. There chicken wings are tiny little wing zings. The shrimp rolls were so tiny and skinny and lacked flavor. Lastly their shrimp wonton with noodles tasted like water. On top of that they are more pricey than the typical Chinese stores. I would not order from here again

Cindy's is one of many simple, unassuming Chinese restaurants in South Jersey from which I didn't expect greatness, but turned out to be pretty good. This restaurant is at one end of a row of stores just off busy Route 38. You can't make left turns into or out of this strip mall but if you've been driving in South Jersey a while, I'm sure you can easily find a jughandle to make a U-turn if you need to. From what I observed, Cindy's does a lot of takeout and delivery but they do have a small dining area. I thought dine-in service was decent this evening. I tried the General Tso's Chicken combination platter and it is above average. Although not the best in South Jersey, the breaded chicken was crisp and fresh. As a plus, the fried rice that came with the dish is not the cliched yellow rice. Now, keep in mind that my observations thus far are for dine-in. I also noticed on that evening, they only had one delivery driver and he seemed to take more than half an hour from the time he left the restaurant to the time he got back. (In South Jersey though, I'm not surprised at the travel time. Streets are often not conveniently laid out.) So if you place a delivery order and the driver is out at the time, it may take quite a while.

Worst waiter I have ever witnessed, couldn't keep his hands off of his Tablet, there was no one else but me seated, I ordered a sit down dinner, halfway through he asks me if I was finished yet? I told him no, why are you closing? He just said no we close at 10 ! I felt like I was taking up his precious time. Then he opens the door to the Kitchen, and the whole Dining Room fills with smoke, very odd experience, the Food was fresh, but overall, a very unpleasant environment to eat in. I'll never go there again.
