The largeat art museun Maine is located on Colby College's campus and is free to the public. Keep track of events going on throughout the year geared towards families and children. Events include art projects down stairs and sometime catered. There is a mini food station in the lobby with some tables and chairs to eat at. In the summer they have an event with live music and free ice cream.

Best college museum in the US. Broad and diverse collection, special exhibits that are world class, and a warm and inviting environment. Reason enough all by itself to visit central Maine.

Great art. Very interesting exhibits. Old coins and artifacts. Over a dozen rooms filled with art. FREE!

This museum doesn't have a gift shop, but they do sell really nice postcards.

The rotating exhibits have been excellent, but it is always a pleasure to see my old favorites again too. There's something for everyone here.
