Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

I had one of the most disappointing experiences in all my years of renting with this office and one of their property owners. Less than 9 days from the expected start date of an upcoming lease, after filling out all paperwork, agreeing on price, and putting a holding deposit, the owner decided to cancel and lease to a friend instead. While Coldwell Banker isn't in control of their owner's decisions, they SHOULD be in control of the promises they make to those interested in renting their properties. It would have been unethical for me to back out at that point and I was appalled that their owner felt it was appropriate. Their poor ability to manage the communication and unprofessional last minute cancellation left me without a home at the eleventh hour and created a financial burden of cancelling movers and scrambling to find a place to live. I would not recommend them.
