Definitely has more of the feel of a chain-restaurant/brewery than a lot of places in town. It's spacious, has full table service, and feels like a family restaurant. I'd say it feels a bit like a BJs or Rock Bottom but with more wood and stone accents.
We only had an appetizer to eat, some great pickle chips. The menu looked pretty normal for these kind of places.
We picked some of the more experimental beers to try. Like most experiments, they were hit or miss. Sadly, we didn't have time to try the flagship beers for a better sense of what they do. The beers looked like the standard lineup so many places here do: an IPA, a red or brown ale, a wheat ale, etc.
I definitely didn't get the impression this place was super beer-focused, so it wouldn't probably be my recommendation to someone looking for breweries, but we had a perfectly nice time coming in for a restaurant experience.

I must have accidentally removed my previous review, so here it is again.
Colorado Mountain Brewery is definitely a step above other Brew pub type restaurants. Food is great and staff are friendly. I love Colorado railroad history, and this restaurant is located in the old roundhouse of the Colorado Midland Railroad; check out all the old photos on the wall during your visit.
Burgers here are very good. Also my favorite entree is the bison meatloaf Wellington. For the kids, their chicken tenders are the best around. This had become our go-to lunch spot after church.
Enjoy!

Its very loud on busy nights, but I don't personally mind it. We had a big dinner party, our waitress did a great job checking in on us frequently and getting what we needed in a timely manner.
She anticipated my needs in advance which was super helpful.
My food was excellent, no complaints from any of the others in my party.

Excellent sampler consists of unusual variations of well-known dishes, such as venison egg rolls, and jalapeno bison bites. The beer was excellent, and you can also order a flight of small-sized samples for $8. Good happy hour food specials. Good service. Nice patio, with a side view of Pike's Peak. We enjoyed it very much.

Combine good food AND history for a fine dining experience. The burger I had was perfectly made. I don't drink, so I can't speak to the quality of the beer available. The atmosphere and decor honor the history of the building. It once was the Midland Roundhouse...a place to store and repair locomotives in the late 1880s. Check out the historical marker on the outside of the building while there.
