The Ute & Yeti

Came in for a Trivia night (Geeks who Drink) It was alright. Food was decent and beer selection was large but very very IPA heavy. Not a fan of IPA's. Sat down with some friends and waited a very long time for a server. Ended up having to go to the bar to order. The ambiance was fine but the sterile fluorescent light that leaked over from the climbing gym that shares the building was off-putting.

Kids love the flatbread pizzas and I like the veggie wrap and the vegetable chili. Quinoa side salad is also delicious. The boxed wine is uninspired but that's because the focus is on the beer. Not being a beer drinker, I relied on Matt's guidance and have discovered some that I would drink again.

I just went to this place for the first time and I'm not sure of the likelihood that I (or my friends) will go back. First words that come to mind are "forgettable", "lackluster", and "mediocre". They have a standard beer list and I didn't try the food. The service wasn't too bad once we got past the lady working behind the bar. Our first greeting was not a "hello" or "how can I help you"...it was a "you can't sit here because those seats are reserved" before we moved or said anything, and then she walked away. Pretty random, but like I previously mentioned, the other servers were good. Unless it is to go back to play trivia, I don't know if there are other characteristics of Ute and Yeti that will be enough to bring us back.

I consider this the best place in town to get great beer and great food. The staff are great and will always be on point and make the customer happy no matter what.
