Colt State Park

This place is just stunning. HIGHLY recommend coming for the sunset. There is a Pier, boat ramp, you can go camping, have picnics, or use the paths. There's a beautiful outside ceremony area. There's restrooms, a rocky beach, and just beautiful scenery everywhere.

Located in Bristol RI, Colt State Park offers great public water access to Narragansett Bay. The park has access and parking directly in front of the ocean. There are picnic tables and Shady places to eat as well as some barbecue pits. There is a boat ramp as well as public restrooms for both male and female. You can park your car in the grass and many places throughout the park in the summer. You can park on the grass on the hill on the weekends in the summer. This is one of the best places to sit and relax and listen to the ocean and not be in beach sand. All access to the ocean has grass and feels throughout the park. There is also a bike path.

Beautiful park for a day outing. Plan to reach there early to reserve the best spots and then spend the entire day in activities or just soak up the sun over a good book as you are rejuvenated by the sea breeze. There are trails that you can ride your bike on, or can just run or walk.

Great walking biking paths I rollerbladed on them. A little tight but easily manageable. A lovely beach a cool skate park Wich I'll have to try with the correct skates. Parking is good. Also hung our hammocks there. In season bathrooms. Lovely views at sunset. They have a Sandy swimming beach and then there is also what I think of as an adventure beach that can be walked along. Place is clean and feels diverse. I'd go every week if it was closer.

Pleasant, well maintained grounds. Lots of activities take place here. Close to the water/sailing. And located within the city of Bristol with it's many restaurants and individual stores - not many chains here. Can be a nice day out.
