I just had the best cleaning I've ever had in my life at Community Dental in Portland! The dentist that I saw was very thorough on my mouth; it was like getting my teeth power washed. He was very detail oriented thank you so much and I appreciate all the great work you guys have done!
Maybe my worst dental experience and I've had teeth pulled and braces for years. Went to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Had one very short consultation with the male oral surgeoneven though I was told I'd have a female He was very cocky and made me feel uneasy. The next time I see him I am being prepped and strapped with wires in the chair. You can see my heart rate go from 83 to 130. In my chart is my panic disorder disability. He tries to get the IV in my arm and can't, he then tries to get it in my hand such an uncomfortable feeling he is fiddling for what feels like 10 minutes. I tell the nurse Im feeling faint, "he's almost got it", you can see my blood pressure on the monitor dip. I tell her I'm going to throw up, you need to get me a bag. She does, he throws his hands up, says he'll come back later, and leaves the room. I throw up and immediately feel better. When he comes back in they give me a bit of gas like they should've in the beginning. I wake up and he's only taken out one tooth instead of two because he doesn't want an infection to spread, he gives me antibiotics. Wouldn't that take care of the infection The molar next to the empty wisdom tooth spot has been affected in a negative way. The other wisdom tooth is still sitting in my half torn open gums. Pretty sure I have a constant infection because of this. Go anywhere else.
I would like to take the time to thank Amanda Sebok for her amazing work with my daughter. My daughter was referred here for braces and like most was not excited about it. From the first meeting with Amanda until the very last day she was friendly, kind, outgoing, happy, social, hard working, professional and just a very fun person to see for the monthly visits! She made the experience a positive one. My daughter and myself liked her immediately. Amanda never missed a days work for any of our frequent appointments which was nice to not worry about. Another dr was Dr Meg she was fabulous as well and a real pleasure to speak to I just didn’t have as much one on one with her through out the 2+ years my daughter was a patient. Thank you so kindly Amanda and Dr Meg!!! Never thought I’d say this but we will miss your visits, chats and smile! You have created a new beautiful face for my Kaylee one that she loves so much! Her smile is better then either of us could Of dreamed and we are both so happy with the results! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
AWESOME! Came in with a smile that I hated but after a couple of appointments I knew I was in good hands! The friendliest people you’ll ever meet no joke! My teeth are straighter than I could’ve ever imagined! Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!
The only problem I have is the unprofessional front desk lady. Extremely rude to patients but also extremely disrespectful to POC. It’s an embarrassment on your end to have such a unprofessional non caring person at that front desk. Something needs to be done.
Yesterday morning I had a toothache out of nowhere. It got worse and worse. Upper front tooth. After not being able to sleep I went there at 8:00 am. for an emergency visit. Had to wait a little bit but they got me in and extracted the culprit. I feel like a million bucks right now and I can't thank them enough. The staff and Drs. We're so professional and compassionate to keep you at ease it was stunning .Thank you Community Dental of Portland for taking such awesome care of me.
Dr Meg and Amanda Gave me the best experience when it came to orthodontic care I was extremely impressed with their kindness and caring nature
Amanda is amazing. she helps in anyway she possibly can she is so amazing I recommend anyone getting braces to come here and see Amanda.
This place has helped me with several tooth problems that were making daily life hard. They were very kind to me, and I feel so much better now, great experience!
Was quoted a price for work I needed that MaineCare didn't cover, and was quoted prices on appointments.... Ended up having to pay more than double than what they quoted me! Was told I needed to pay it all at once right there or I would not be able to schedule my emergency tooth surgery! Luckily, I was able to pay for it.... But it cost A LOT... And now I am terrified to go to surgery, because I fear they will tell me the wrong price, and I will end up spending all my savings.... And every time I ask about it, everyone seems to have different answers. This isn't even my official dentist right now. I haven't had one since being accepted on Mainecare... I applied to be a patient out of necessity, but even then they said I probably won't be seen until June or July. I'm going to get the surgery done, and hopefully be able to find a different dentist. The people have been nice to me here, but I was told to schedule appointment over the phone and that was a nightmare, just because this appointment was considered an emergency by them and it took them so long to get back to me. They don't answer the phone, which would be fine if they actually called you back.... I would avoid this place if you can. If you're on Mainecare and out of options like me, I feel you.
