Coralville Dam Complex Campgrounds

Army Corps of Engineers park at it's best. Plenty of spots with various hookups available. Everything from backwoods private to river view group areas.

Had fun here. Very quite, my brother and i camped here for a few nights. The bugs where bad. We camp there when iowa hawkeyes was playing i believe their last game in 2017. Everytime iowa scored the whole camp ground hollered and a big whistle blew across the river. That was exciting. All in all, the host where great people. I loved this spot.

By far my favorite campground. If you're a fisherman there are crappie, walleye, catfish, bass and numerous other fish. Be warned if you keep any live bait outside your tent/camper the racoons will get at it. The showers are usually clean and there are two fishing docks for handicapped folks.

There are no first-come-first-served sites out there they're all reserved only. What a huge mistake there should always be room for the people that don't know they're going to Camp six months in advance. How is he young family or someone without a lot of money supposed to know they want to camp six months or a year at a time period what a complete moist

Pic is fossil gorge. Lots of fossils to find. COE Camping very nearby, good bargain for old fogies, especially with govt card. Five miles to stores or restaurants
