I have lived here for a few years and always paid my rent which covers everyday during my lease agreement. The air conditioning broke down on Thursday and residents were informed it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday. The entire weekend it’s been around 85 degrees in my apartment which has been miserable, intolerable and unacceptable! If the part couldn’t be available until Monday why didn’t the manager call another HVAC company to work on the air conditioner? Why were residents left to suffer just because it was over a weekend? I’ve read a review which was ten years old reporting an incident over the same issue. Why hasn’t further more in depth work been done to prevent this from repeatedly happening? I called maintenance to simply help me with assembling a fan and no one showed. Guess they thought it wasn’t their job or problem since it was the “weekend.” Just because it’s not in the job description is not an excuse to not provide assistance to a resident desperate for help. The apathy of the lease office is what gets me the most in this situation. It’s inhumane for residents to be expected to suffer like this when it’s 90 degrees outside.
From the staff to the living quarters . It’s my pleasure to live here . Not to mention the lovely rooftop in the warmer seasons . The property manager Rikki has always been delightful and helpful in any situation.
Currently A/C has been down for three days and it’s 90 plus degrees. We get an emailing stating it won’t be fixed til Monday. They expect you to pay your rent but stuff is always down in the building, just yesterday the garage was broken. Such a inconvenience. I will not be renewing my lease here!
Kendra and Chris are awesome. There has been a few concerns and staff changes and things but that comes with most city living larger buildings. Especially for specific details. Great location, washer and dryer, kinda long time community! Views are fun too!!!! there’s the stragglers that come and go but we need More good peoples to treat it as a home and not disrespect it!!! Pros and cons list. If your not happy move. Or keep rooted. The garage elevator access is nice but hasn’t been clean or respected it’s sad how people literally throw things on the ground and don’t pick them up. And the hvac and no ceiling fans and lights and air gaps aren’t the best but having a storage locker is super nice. People just need to be better. It’s simple. There’s always good and bad where ever you go. Health and happiness
Maintenance is terrible. My in unit dryer has broken for about 30 days. Forcing me to pay out of pocket to go to the laundromat. Also my neighbor has had an ongoing problem with their A/C. The best explanation they can give is that they're "Short Staffed". Funny how their version of professionalism is "sorry" with a fake smile "but there's nothing we can do". Will not be renewing my lease.
Has its problems for sure but definitely isn't terrible. Things have fallen apart since Chris left but the building is in a good spot in the city. Lived there for a couple years and I don't regret it.
I love it here! Lived here 2 years so far and planning on staying a few more! Great location, close to everything downtown....KC Streetcar, Sprint Center, KC Power & Light, City Market, Berkley Riverfront Park and a lot more! Leasing agents are friendly and any maintenance is always done within 24 hours! Parking has NEVER been a problem for street parking, even being downtown, but now I have a parking spot under the building, so that helps a ton! For the record, YES, this was the old courthouse!
Beautiful community to live at! The staff here are all so friendly.
Even though parking is a bit of a pain, I have nothing but good things to say about this building. The lofts are very nice. I have never once heard anyone in another apartment. The only time I hear sound is through the doors, in the hallway, or out the window. There is pretty often siren noises through the window, but that is city life. For city life, I feel pretty safe, as the building has controlled access, rotating security guards and is two blocks from a police station. Each apartment has it's own AC control, so I never have issues there. You can easily walk to awesome locations like the power and light district, or the Alamo Drafthouse theatre. The management is very professional and efficient. I haven't had to deal with them much, but they are very accommodating when I do. The on site gym is open 24/7, and I have rarely run into anyone when I go to work out. The roof is gorgeous, I love the view. Really, the worst part about this apartment is having to leave, because it is tax credit housing. Move here if you get the chance, It's a great experience.
I've lived here for over a year now and love just about everything. Great place parking in the building with a push of a button. maintenance is quite fast. yeah there is some outside noise but you live in a CITY so expect that but the windows cut it down a lot. Utilities aren't to bad never been more than 100$ for a two bedroom amazing views. Just love living here.
