great company, the staff is very knowledgeable and extremely professional, friendly. we unmasted here to continue on the loop, they took great care of our equipment, packaged everything neatly for transport. highly recommend these guys. don't hesitate one moment in doing business with Crowley's

Had 4 experiences with Crowley's over the last year. 1) Had the boat hauled to paint the bottom, travel lift broke and took 1/2 a day to get my boat in stands. I lost another part of the day due to their company party scheduled that they didn't tell me about, I had to get launched several hours earlier than planned. Lost about 3/4 of a day of planned work hours over the weekend. 2) Asked the ship store to locate a gps module for my icom vhf since they were listed as an authorized dealer. I was supposed to hear from the store manager a couple days later, followed up 4 days later and the store manager had no idea what I was talking about. 3) Was planning a quick haul for an insurance inspection and requested a quote about 3 months after I hauled for painting, it was $300 more totaling over $1500 to be hauled, pressure washed and launched, they told me their costs went way up, I did not go through with their services. 4) I got a quote to haul, pressure wash, put in stands for 2 days and launch, Crowley's quoted more than $1200, Larsen Marine quoted less than $500. I called Crowley's to double check their quote, the person I spoke with basically said it was correct, take it or leave it. I'm done with Crowley's. I have over 8 years experience with Larsen's, not all without issues, but they have better prices and better service, worth the extra travel if you have a larger boat.

I like a working boat/ ship yard ! More then competent crew. Jeff did a great job planting the ten Ton Tiara express on me, Perfect load makes for perfectly smooth haul. Watched your yard crew sling 8 sailboats out , cradle and put on the hard with expert handling . Great maneuvering room , that's a first anywhere south of Waukegan! We stored our 45-foot sailboat at Crowley’s Yacht Yard for the past two seasons and utilized many of their other services. Regardless if it is paint, rigging, system repair, or just providing advice and guidance, we have been 100% percent satisfied with the service received at Crowley’s. In our experience, they have gone above and beyond to make sure we leave the Yacht Yard happy.

Very friendly representatives greeted us, helped us find, and sold us a used sailboat mast at a very good price. Excellent ship's store (though cramped), knowledgeable riggers and yachtsmen. They repair and store a lot of Chicago's yachts, both large and small. Yacht brokers are on premiss as well.
