We really enjoyed this place. We’re new to southern food so we had to have the waitress basically order for us. IT WAS AMAZING food! We really appreciated the waitress. I wish I got her name so I could thank her again, on here. I had the fried chicken, with gravy on the sidewaitress instructions mashed potatoes, Italian spinach and macaroni and cheese. Below is the current menu as of 9/19/22 plus my plate of food.
A family owned American diner with an old charm and vibrant environment. It was packed when I visited for taking out my brunch. I stopped by, ordered and waited inside until they gave my food. However, you can call them and get the food ready when you reach. The front desk ladies/ staff/ owner ? were very charming and welcoming. The food was good. It was a basic home style breakfast with eggs ans sausage and potato. The biscuits were freshly baked and truly southern. I loved the sausage patties, with a hint of spice and heat. I added a cup of coffee which was very basic. I will definitely go back and eat there. Highly recommend if you want to have some southern hospitality. Update: I went back in Sunday for brunch and everything was perfect. Me and my mom started with a cup of coffee. While my mom indulged herself in a tuna salad sandwich with a side of turnip greens, I chose to have the chicken with dressings. Mashed potato with gravy and corn pudding were the two sides. Tuna sandwich was pretty decent. So as the chicken with dressing. It was nothing fancy, but very homy and comforting. The corn pudding was something that I never tasted before. Try this if you have a sweet tooth like me. And, before we move on. I must mention about their corn muffins. These tiny muffins were served hot. They were freshly baked and very aromatic. One of the best corn bread/ muffin that I have had. It’s very lively inside, with a typical old school diner environment. Do visit them.
Really good fried catfish and fried green tomatoes as well as the turnip greens. The eggplant casserole needed more eggplant. The chicken strips were good and I liked the mac n' cheese and mashed potatoes n' gravy. I also liked the menu style. You pick a meat and decide how many sides you want and what they'll be. Definitely worth a visit.
Good old Southern Soul Food!! Breakfast served all day — AWESOME! A meat and three veggies daily with different daily specials. Worth it to go! Great service also!! Had the meatloaf and veggies — fantastic!!
Excellent restaurant. Food was fantastic. Service was amazing. Restaurant was very clean, employees on top of everything. Best service. Definitely a great place to eat when in town. Vegetarian options: This restaurant has just about any you want. Parking: Great parking Dietary restrictions: I have restrictions they had no problem with that.
We’re stuffed!! The food was hot and tasty. I would have stayed for dessert but was much too full from the nice sized portions. If you’re around Memphis already or just passing through, definitely stop by and see what the daily specials are. You won’t be disappointed. Service was quick and staff was super friendly.
My husband got fried catfish meal and he said it was really good, I got the special stuffed bell pepper and it was ok. Our server Amberr was nice. Sweat tea was good. They give you a little basket of rolls and cornbread before your meal and that was good. I think it's a hit and miss. My mashed potatoes where a little to runny and I didn't care for Italian spinach.
Very homely breakfast restraunt. Service was promot and very friendly and the food was delicious with good portion sizes. The cost is also reasonable. We will be back to try more off the menu.
Food was great, hefty portions, great flavors and good service. It was my first time eating here and it was good.
