When you feel the need to go get checked out the last thing you want to think about is service and wait times. I was greeted by Shannon who was extremely comforting and made the initial process seamless and smooth. The nurses were lovely and caring. 10/10 recommend.
Checked in urgent care at 11:15 am told 3 1/2+ wait. Waiting room was packed with patients. Went out to my car for 2 hrs since I was coughing so much . Came in and asked where I was on the list. The secretary scolded me and said oh well they called you already. I went to the next secretary they put me back in line. I went downstairs for a drink literally 3 minutes and I was called. Again the rude front desk staff said you need to tell me. Anyhow it’s been 3 hrs and I am in a room. They continue to have the sign up for 3 1/2+ wait and it is not that at all. I think they just want people to leave and go somewhere else.
Called to schedule a new patient appointment for my spouse and was told that I was not able to because they didn't have a release... Before even looking to see who the patient was. How would you know that before looking the patient up? Just an immediate, nope can't help you! Okay then, we'll just go elsewhere Side note, I had printed a Dartmouth Hitchcock PHI form and had him sign it already and was just going to fax it to them when I got he fax correct fax number. Someone forgot their AIDET!
By far the worst place to go to for urgent care. They pick and choose who goes next. People arrive after you and get seen before you. It might be race, it might be because you don't have insurance, either way it should be fair. There's no reason why someone that arrives after you gets seen first. Unless they're privileged or know the receptionist or someone that works there. Absolutely horrible!
Other than occasional issues with phone wait timeshello anyone realize there's a healthcare staffing crisis going on? As a retired nurse, have had nothing but stellar care in Norris Cotton, Internal Medicine & Urgent Care. As for those who think Urgent Care "picks & chooses who goes first" ... It's not a deli at the grocery store. I suggest you look up the topic called Triage.
Add your business hours so Google stops recommending you as the first option for a PCP when searching on the weekends, when everyone is closed. It's at best lazy and unhelpful, and at worst intentionally done in order to drive traffic to your phone line.
Longer wait than most urgent Care facilities and some rude staff. There are definitely better options which surprises me because the one in Manchester handles higher volume with less wait times and friendlier Service.THEY PUT UP A 3 HOUR WAIT SIGN AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING TO DISCOURAGE PATIENTS FROM COMING IN. EVEN NURSE SAID "ITS THAT TIME, PUT UP WAIT SIGN" I'm in waiting room right now 47 min and no one in lobby at all.
Very recently had an experience with Pedja Milanovic, PA. Guy is just as skilled and knowledgeable as any doctor I've ever met. NH Board of Medicine should just upgrade him to MD. The things he did at urgent care to make sure the patient I was with received the best and complete treatment on a serious medical issue was incredible. The team that assisted did a great job as well. Sure, people have bad experiences I have had some lemons too at DH, but I think it's important to recognize those people who continue to bring their "A" game even at the end of a long work day. That also goes for intake and support personnel as well.
Wouldnt recommend if your looking to transfer to be a patient. I have had horrible experience have symptoms that are getting worse and have seen two different doctors and not one is listening. you will just be passed on to another appointment and symptoms your concerned about won’t even be documented they are to concerned about getting to the next patient and getting you in for a follow up that will end up being another dead end because they just don’t listen.
I have been very pleased with my experiences here. I find it to be very convenient to have all my doctors and lab in one building. The myDH portal is great, I always get quick responses. The only reason I have for 4 stars is that I find their prices to be very high. I have a high deductible plan and my office visits here are a lot more expensive than my husband's at a different facility. But I love the convenience and Dr. Julie in GI is very good.
