I bring my family here and we've all had fantastic experiences. The people working the desk are all on their game. They know me by name and always have a friendly smile. Calling with questions about care for my children has never been an issue. A triage nurse contacts me back swiftly to determine our best options. Sara Shipley is sincere and truly listens to her patients. She respects what her patient is telling her and works hard to find the right treatment options. This really is a great family practice.

Dr. Gupta is a crook, she pushed 6 refills of Wellbutrin on me when I didn't even want it. Also they don't refill prescriptions right away so if your grandma runs out and you call in they can wait 48 hours to call it in.

I had a preventative physical exam here that was covered under my insurance. Then I get a bill with no explanation for something the insurance company did not cover. I call and find out I was billed for both a preventative exam and an office visit because I answered the question "is there any question or concerns I want to talk about?" With the Doctor. So because we had a 2 minute conversation about how I can be healthier during my physical, I was charged an extra office visit. I asked before and after the exam if I owed anything and was not given any indication that this would happen. What is the point of seeing a doctor if answering simple questions only drives up the bill? This may not be a problem with this facility but after some research, this practice has been occurring for years everywhere. Maybe the office should provide a disclaimer to sign regarding the possibility of extra charges during your visit if you ask any questions regarding your health. I also called the insurance company regarding this and they informed me that any office visit charge is for a minimum of 15 minutes. My entire visit with the Doctor wasn't even that long. I certainly don't agree with the charges but won't waste too much time stressing about it otherwise I'll have to see the doctor again and be billed for more. Edit:7/7/16 Received a follow up from the practice and while my issue was resolved this time, I believe there needs to be better education for patients and disclosure from the doctors to prevent this from happening to anyone in the future. This also includes insurance company guidelines for what needs to occur in each billing code. What type of further length of conversation or care is considered to be warranted for extra charges and also informing patients when those charges are going to be made at the time of care if they deviate from the scheduled visit. A simple "your question and my answer will take us out of the preventative visit guidelines and it will be billed an additional office visit" would allow patients to decide whether or not it's an appropriate time to ask about their existing or new conditions. Insurance plans are all different so those extra charges can vary from a simple copay to a larger bill if you have a deductible. Each insurance company also has their own guidelines like length of conversation to warrant an additional charge. I'm not saying don't get care simply because of the charges, the better everyone is educated about how the system doesn't make sense, the more likelihood you'll avoid receiving unplanned bills in the mail.
