Days Inn by Wyndham Columbus Fairgrounds

wish i had read reviews before booking. only stayed here for an event right across the street. location is great for that, otherwise the motel is the worst place i’ve ever stayed at. smelled like cigarettes, rock hard bed, holes in the blankets… it was a place to sleep, thankfully there were no bed bugs. i have nothing positive to say about this place. i felt disgusting being in that room.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was clearly not cleaned. When confronted about the dirty conditions they had nothing to say other than the cleaners weren't available and he had no access to the cleaning supplies when I offered to clean the floors. We paid too much money for the condition of the room. The location is nice in the sense of it's right next to a McDonald's. I'm so disappointed.

Room appeared to be half clean questionable if the sheets were even clean. The bathroom toilet around the base of the toilet appeared to not have been cleaned in a while. Although the room seems to be remodeled the bathroom could use some remodeling in the shower area. No towels were available to me. This is a place you would just sleep for the night and move on not to be there for more than 1-2 nights. Breakfast was almost non existent for a Wyndham affiliation very minimal just to say that it was offered. TV in room was very little. Upon entering all appliances were unplugged so now you have to find plugs for everything to plug back up. The refrigerator unplugged so now the bottom of the refrigerator is full of water…Location was great that is about it.

We booked to stay during the Ohio State Fair 7/26-7/29 2023. The place is right next to the fairgrounds, you can walk to it. We were on the first floor, and it appeared the room was recently renovated and had updated bedding. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, we did not know that the helicopter rides flew right over the motel what seemed like every 5 minutes. There were flies in our room that seemed to not be coming from the front door. There were a good number of people sitting on the sidewalk or in their cars that were not paying guests who attempted to ask us for whatever they could think of. We ended up leaving after 2 hours and staying elsewhere. We booked through a 3rd party who is still attempting to get out refund for the nights not stayed. Paid $185 for 1 night. Checked in at about 7pm spent most of the time sitting on the bed by about 10pm my feet were completely black. The bathroom had black hair all over the floor. The mirror was never cleaned. Woke up with a sore throat when I was feeling fine the day before. Had the cold for 2 weeks. Don't stay here. Total rip off. At least there were not bed bugs.

The rooms were not clean and neither were the common areas. Nothing was plugged in and you had to alternate between the TV, microwave and refridgerator. The water to the toilet was turned off also. There was a bug in my bathroom. If I had to stay more than just one night, I would have switched hotels. Luckily we were just sleeping then leaving.

DO NOT GO HERE. We booked a room for an event near by, the first room we got the door opened with put using a key. All we had to do was jingle the door knob and it opened. The room was not even cleaned we immediately went to get another room, the second room we tried was also not cleaned there were dirty towels all over the floor and on the bed. We left and they did not charge us.

A no frills-no fuss straightforward experience with great customer service and hospitality. Salid, sahid, sani, and Omar were extremely welcoming and friendly… the fact they didn’t require a deposit is almost unheard of but another bonus that really helps out. Also free breakfast which was great!Rooms: 5/5

Service was sufficient. Not any too friendly but not rude either. They do not have vending machines for soda or snacks but there is a gas station about a block away Safety: Parking available right outside your door.

TERRIBLE. Do not waste your money. Rooms are DISGUSTING, they WREAK, and the area is not the best. I couldn’t even recommend for 1 night. Holes in the towels, mold EVERYWHERE, mysterious white stains…, “hair” all under the bed sheets, and dead insects everywhere. Walked around in my white socks for an hour and they were BLACK after. Flies in the rooms. Do not waste your money or your health. Pics of mold, white stains and “hair”. The mold and stains were RIGHT behind the bed. Noteworthy details: Mold EVERYWHERE, not a clean place at all
