I was excited to be joining a social co-ed basketball league. I love basketball and was looking forward to meeting new people since I just moved to the area. I signed up as a free agent and was assigned to a team. However, on the first day, the captain was upset that I had been assigned to them as a free agent. He reluctantly gave me a shirt and told me he would call DC Fray to get me off the team after that day. In our second game, only five players showed up, so he said I could play with them. I scored 1/3 of our team's points that game and played the full 40 minutes. I figured he would come around to me after that. The next game, we had a full team and he was upset again that I was there, so he called DC Fray before the game and insisted that I be removed from the team. I played anyway, but whenever I got on the court, they would send in a sub for me after about three minutes. I was clearly not welcome on that team. Most people at DC Fray seemed friendly, but my experience with this particular team was very upsetting. DC Fray staff were helpful in providing me with a refund and assuring me that my experience was not typical, but overall it was still a negative experience for me. To anyone who joins as a team, please be respectful and welcoming to individuals who are placed on your team as free agents. This isn't just about being able to play with your friends. Lots of people join in order to meet new people and they should be welcomed too.

Very disappointed. in 2017 I signed up to play at Marie Reed right when registration started and I was told I couldn't play there because the coach had told them they don't like to play with the same people every summer. so now in 2018 I signed up to play in Virginia and I was happy I was told I was put in a team and was looking forward to my start day on the 2nd day from that email. the next morning I see my account and I didn't have a team anymore. the 3rd day I called the office and I was told the couch had said they didn't want me in the team, not like they know me because I'm new but still I felted really bad and there was another incident but so far I don't have anything good to say about DC Fray. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's exactly what I did, I signed up as a "FREE AGENT" 3 days later they merged me to a team where I applied then they kicked me out saying they didn't want me in the team just because they all know each other when I think is unfair as I'm paying the same money as everyone else, if the team is unavailable then don't put it online to register people. I was also told to register for a different day at Marie Reed and kept waiting to be merged and the season started but no one ever said anything so all I was offered at the end was a refund when I was so exited to play there. I was waiting online when they open registration and register and paid just be left out at the end. I emailed and phoned with different people but they weren't helpful. spoke with Jerod Jensen, Val, Ben, Eric Campbell & Ryan Baker. All I was told was they cant do much was not much but my time wasted and my plans to play on a team didn't seem count.

I enjoy playing DC Fray flag football! I do it for cardio, fun, and another way to meet new people. Sometimes the officiating is off but that's to be expected because we all are only human and even pro refs make bad calls. I say if you wanna have fun then get out there and play.

I just recently found DC Fray because of Glow Yoga - love it. Awesome idea, well executed. I'll definitely be checking out their future events (retro field day - yes, please!) and also their skeeball league. Glad I found you and you are offering more than just traditional sports!

The staff and players in this league are the best! Everyone is there to meet new people and have fun!! DC Fray does the whole social sports thing with total professionalism. You can expect a quality product on the field or with any event you sign up for. Have an issue or a question? Pick up the phone and you'll reach a real person who truly cares to help you! The best social outlet in DC with the best customer service, hands down!
